Please read enclosed instructions carefully before installation.

1. Select desired hole pattern. Select either 3″ hole spacing or 1-3/4″ hole spacing. Use the 3″ hole spacing (drill new holes) when replacing 1-1/2″ hole pattern.
2. Screw adjustable bosses into outside assembly. Fig 1.
3. Check clearance for latch, if latch does not clear, drill new holes according to template.
4. Insert spindle and insert through installation holes with the lever handle correctly oriented.
5. Guide outside assembly over the spindle, insert and tighten screws. (Do not overtighten).
6. Close door and install strike plate (use shims if necessary so bolt is engaged at least 1/4″).

The diagram shows a template for drilling holes with measurements for proper installation. It includes a spindle hole of 5/16″ (7.94 mm) and spacing options of 3″ and 1-3/4″. The figure illustrates the placement of the latch and the orientation of the lever handle.

• Cut out template along this line. Hold against Jamb.
• Hold a ruler firmly along this line and fold up. Hold against Door.
