Engine noise is often caused by poor grounding or interference. For most race intercoms, Rugged Radios recommends wiring power and ground directly to the battery and running audio cables away from ignition coils and power lines using an active filter if necessary.
To prevent accidental channel changes, press and hold the designated lock key on your handheld or mobile radio faceplate. Repeat the action to unlock.
