4. Opsætningsvejledning

This section provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your CPE362 wireless bridges.

4.1. Indledende parring

  1. Connect one end of a short network cable to the LAN port of the PoE adapter.
  2. Connect the other end of the network cable to the PoE port on the CPE362 wireless bridge. Ensure the bridge powers on, indicated by the power LED.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the second CPE362 wireless bridge.
  4. Place both powered bridges near each other. The bridges are designed for automatic pairing. Wait approximately 5 minutes for the pairing process to complete.
  5. After successful pairing, one bridge's signal light will be solid (Master bridge), and the other's will flash (Slave bridge).

4.2. Netværksforbindelse

  1. Master Bridge Connection: Connect the LAN port of the Master bridge's PoE adapter to an available Internet or LAN port on your main router using a network cable.
  2. Slave Bridge Connection: Connect the LAN port of the Slave bridge's PoE adapter to the WAN port of a secondary router, or directly to a device such as a computer or security camera system.

4.3. Mounting the Bridges

The CPE362 bridges can be mounted on poles or walls using the provided bracket mounts. Ensure a clear line of sight between the two bridges for optimal performance.

  • Stangmontering: Use the metal cable ties to secure the bracket to a pole.
  • Vægbeslag: Use screws to attach the bracket to a wall.

The bracket mounts offer 150-degree adjustability to help align the bridges for the best signal.

5.1. Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP)

The CPE362 supports both PTP and PTMP configurations:

  • Punkt-til-punkt (PTP): Connects two locations wirelessly, ideal for extending network between two buildings.
  • Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP): A single Master bridge can connect to multiple Slave receiver units (up to 8 receivers), allowing network extension to several buildings or devices. This is particularly useful for CCTV camera systems or shared networks across multiple properties.

5.2. VLAN Support

The CPE362 supports VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) functionality, allowing you to isolate traffic between different networks. This feature is beneficial for creating secure, segmented networks for specific purposes, such as guest networks, security camera feeds, or internal office data, without interference or congestion.

5.3. Ansøgninger

The CPE362 is versatile and can be used in various scenarios:

  • Extending Starlink internet to multiple buildings (e.g., garage, guesthouse, barn).
  • Connecting remote IP security cameras without extensive wiring.
  • Providing network access to detached offices, workshops, or farm equipment zones.
  • Creating temporary internet zones for outdoor events or construction sites.

7. Fejlfinding

7.1. Ingen strøm

  • Ensure the PoE adapter is properly connected to a power source and the bridge.
  • Check the network cable connecting the bridge to the PoE port on the adapter.

7.2. No Connection/Poor Signal

  • Verify that both bridges are powered on and the pairing process was successful (check LED indicators).
  • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the Master and Slave bridges. Obstacles like trees, buildings, or dense foliage can significantly degrade performance.
  • Re-align the bridges using the adjustable mounts to optimize signal strength.
  • Check all network cable connections between the bridges, PoE adapters, and routers/devices.
  • If using PTMP, ensure the angle limits (within 60 degrees) are respected for optimal performance.

7.3. Slow Speed

  • Ensure optimal line of sight between bridges.
  • Check for potential interference from other 5.8GHz devices in the area.
  • Verify the speed of your internet connection at the source.
  • Ensure your connected devices are capable of Gigabit speeds.
