4. Opsætning

4.1 Strømtilslutning

The ARCCAPTAIN MIG160 supports both 110V and 220V input. Connect the power cord to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the power source matches the machine's requirements for optimal performance. For full 160A output, a 220V connection is recommended.

4.2 Wire Loading (MIG/Flux Core)

3. Secure the spool with the provided retainer.
4. Feed the wire through the drive roller mechanism. Ensure the correct groove on the roller matches your wire diameter (.030" or .035").

6. Feed the wire into the MIG torch liner until it emerges from the tip.

4.3 Gas Connection (Gas MIG)

For Gas MIG welding, connect your shielding gas cylinder to the gas inlet on the back of the welder using the provided gas hose. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent gas leaks. Adjust the gas flow rate using a regulator (not included) according to your welding requirements.

5.1 Gas MIG Welding

Ideal for carbon steel, stainless steel, and thicker materials, providing clean welds with minimal spatter. Requires shielding gas (e.g., Argon/CO2 mix).

• Select "Gas MIG" mode on the control panel.
• Adjust current based on material thickness and wire diameter using the synergic control knob.
• Ensure proper gas flow.

5.2 Gasless MIG (Flux Core) Welding

Suitable for outdoor repairs and rusty metals, as it does not require external shielding gas. The flux within the wire creates its own shielding.

• Select "Flux Core Gasless MIG" mode.
• Adjust current and wire speed as needed.

5.3 MMA-svejsning (elektrode-svejsning)

Used for welding thicker materials and in various environmental conditions. Requires stick electrodes.
