5. Betjening
The AUTOOL OD720 supports four primary waste oil management functions:
5.1. Waste Oil Extraction (Vacuum Extraction)
This method uses compressed air to create a vacuum, extracting oil through a wand inserted into the engine's oil inlet. This process can complete oil extraction in approximately 3 minutes.
Video 5.1: Demonstration of AUTOOL Fluid Evacuator & Fluid Drainer Vacuum Extraction.
This video illustrates the process of extracting waste oil using the vacuum system, including selecting the appropriate wand, inserting it into the oil inlet, connecting the air supply, checking the pressure gauge, attaching the wand to the extraction hose, turning on the extraction valve, and starting the extraction process. It also shows the oil draining from the measuring cup into the tank.
- Prepare the Measuring Cup: Adjust the measuring cup press valve to the center slot position (valve closed).
- Connect Extraction Wand: Close the suction hose valve and connect an appropriate extraction wand to the suction hose.
- Tilslut luftkilde: Connect the air source to the vacuum inlet and open the air source valve.
- Set Negative Pressure: Turn the negative pressure gauge needle to the rated negative pressure of 50-65cmHg.
- Begin Extraction: Insert the wand into the engine compartment's oil inlet and open the valve of the suction hose to begin extracting the waste oil.

5.2. Waste Oil Draining (from Measuring Cup to Tank)
Once the transparent measuring bowl is filled, the collected oil can be transferred to the main storage tank.
- Overvåg olieniveau: When the level of the measuring bowl reaches the warning line, it's time to empty the measuring bowl of waste oil.
- Aftapningsolie: Press and rotate the measuring bowl push valve to the top left or right slot position (open). The waste oil in the measuring bowl will automatically flow into the steel tank.

5.3. Waste Oil Recycling (Gravity Draining)
This method involves gravity draining oil directly from the vehicle's oil pan into the unit's funnel.
- Løftekøretøj: Lift the vehicle using a suitable lifting device.
- Position Equipment: In a safe workplace, move the equipment under the engine of the vehicle with the funnel aligned with the engine oil drain hole. Adjust the height of the funnel as needed.
- Unscrew Drain Plug: Unscrew the oil drain plug of the vehicle engine.
- Discharge Oil: The waste oil will be discharged through the funnel into the steel tank.

Image 5.3.1: Steps for Waste Oil Recycling.
5.4. Emptying the Waste Oil Storage Tank
When the main 18.5-gallon tank is full, it needs to be emptied for continued use.
- Luk ventiler: Close the measuring bowl press valve, the suction hose valve, and the tank air inlet valve.
- Connect Air Source to Tank: Connect the air source to the tank inlet valve.
- Pressurize Tank: Open the tank inlet valve to pressurize the body. The check valve will automatically close when a certain pressure is reached. If the air pressure in the tank exceeds 1.0 bar, the safety valve will automatically release the pressure.
- Aftapningsolie: After approximately 5 seconds, slowly open the drain valve to drain the oil into a suitable container.

6. Vedligeholdelse
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your AUTOOL OD720:
- Rensning: Regularly clean the exterior of the unit and the funnel to prevent buildup of oil and debris. Use a mild detergent and water, then dry thoroughly.
- Hose and Wand Inspection: Periodically inspect all hoses and evacuation wands for cracks, kinks, or blockages. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- Seal and Connection Check: Ensure all connections and seals are tight to prevent air or oil leaks.
- Vedligeholdelse af hjul: Keep the swivel casters clean and free of debris to ensure smooth mobility. Check the locking mechanisms for proper function.
- Opbevaring: Opbevar enheden et rent og tørt sted, når den ikke er i brug.
7. Fejlfinding
If you encounter issues with your AUTOOL OD720, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Mulig årsag | Løsning |
|---|---|---|
| No vacuum or weak vacuum during extraction. | Insufficient air supply pressure; Air leaks in connections or hoses; Clogged venturi pump. | Check air compressor and ensure 6-8 bar pressure; Inspect all connections and tighten; Clean or replace venturi pump. |
| Slow oil extraction. | Incorrect evacuation wand size; Oil too cold/viscous; Partial blockage in wand or hose. | Use a larger diameter wand; Allow engine oil to warm up (40-60°C); Clear any blockages. |
| Oil not draining from measuring cup to tank. | Measuring bowl push valve is closed or not fully open. | Ensure the push valve is rotated to the open position (top left or right slot). |
| Vanskeligheder med at flytte enheden. | Casters are locked; Debris caught in casters. | Unlock the casters; Clean any debris from the wheels. |
