5.1 Valg af placering

Carbon monoxide is slightly lighter than air and mixes readily with air. For optimal detection, place the detector:

• In or near sleeping areas and living areas.
• On a wall, at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) from the floor, or on the ceiling.
• At least 15 feet (4.5 meters) away from fuel-burning appliances to avoid false alarms from normal combustion byproducts.
• Avoid placing in direct sunlight, near vents, fans, or in extremely dusty, dirty, or greasy areas.

5.2 Montering af detektoren

1. Fjern monteringsbeslaget: Press and insert a disassembly pin into the disassembly hole on the back of the alarm. Twist the alarm in the direction indicated on the cover to separate it from the mounting bracket.
2. Marker borehuller: Hold the mounting bracket against the desired wall or ceiling location and mark the screw holes.
3. Bore huller: Drill holes at the marked positions using a 3/16" (5 mm) drill bit.

6.1 Normal drift

Once installed and powered on, the detector continuously monitors carbon monoxide levels in the air. The LED indicator will typically be off or flash periodically (e.g., every 30 seconds) to indicate normal operation, depending on the specific model's design. 7. Vedligeholdelse
