2.2 Tilslutning af kontakten
- Tilslut til strøm: Connect the provided power adapter to the switch's power input port and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. The Power LED (PWR) on the front panel should illuminate.

The switch can be installed on a desktop or mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack using the included rack mount ears.
- Attach the rack mount ears to the sides of the switch using the provided screws.

The NICGIGA S100-0800T is an unmanaged switch, meaning it operates automatically without requiring user configuration. It intelligently handles data forwarding and speed negotiation.
3.1 Auto-forhandling
Each port on the switch supports auto-negotiation, which automatically detects the link speed of the connected device and adjusts to one of five speeds: 10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1000M (1G), or 100M. This ensures compatibility and optimal performance across a wide range of devices.

- Miljøforhold: Operate the switch within the specified temperature range of 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F). Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper airflow around the switch. The durable metal case and dual-side cooling holes, along with an industrial-grade 5000 RPM fan, are designed for heat dissipation. Do not block ventilation openings.
