Certain objects may present challenges for 3D scanning due to their material properties or lack of distinct features. These include transparent, reflective, black, or featureless objects.

Billede: Eksamples of hard-to-scan objects. This image shows various challenging objects for scanning, such as transparent glass, shiny metal, and featureless white items.
For transparent, reflective, dark, or shiny objects, it is recommended to use a scanning spray to create a matte surface. For flat, dark, or featureless objects, marker stickers can be used to provide trackable points.
Video: Tips for Black, Transparency, Metal Objects. This video provides practical advice on preparing challenging objects for successful scanning.
Video: Marker Block Kit Use Guide. This short video demonstrates how to effectively use marker blocks for improved tracking during scanning.
The Revo Scan software offers intuitive controls for capturing and editing 3D models. You can choose from different accuracy and alignment modes, and adjust camera settings for optimal results.

After scanning, use the one-click model processing feature for quick editing, or utilize powerful editing functions for advanced users. Models can be output in PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF, and FBX formats for compatibility with various 3D modeling software and 3D printers.
Loss of tracking can occur if the scanner is moved too fast, or if the object being scanned lacks sufficient features or has highly reflective/transparent surfaces. If tracking is lost:
