1. Introduktion

The FLIR Scout TKx is a compact thermal vision monocular designed for outdoor observation in low-light and nighttime conditions. This device allows users to detect heat signatures from people, objects, and animals at distances exceeding 90 meters (100 yards). It features simple operation, including the ability to capture still images and record video.

4. Indledende opsætning

4.1. Opladning af batteriet

The FLIR Scout TKx is powered by an internal Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the included USB cable to the device's USB port.

  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging is complete when the indicator changes color or turns off (refer to device display for exact status).

  1. To power on, press and hold the Power button until the FLIR logo appears on the display.

5.1. Viewing Thermal Images

Once powered on, look through the eyepiece to view the thermal image. The device automatically adjusts for optimal viewing.

5.2. Color Palettes

The Scout TKx offers multiple color palettes to enhance thermal image interpretation. Press the Mode button to cycle through available palettes. These palettes can highlight different temperature ranges or specific heat signatures.

Common palettes include:

  • Black Hot: Varme genstande ser sorte ud.

  • Jern: A common palette using a spectrum of colors to represent temperature differences.

5.3. Billed- og videooptagelse

The device can capture still images and record video directly to its internal memory.

  • Billedoptagelse: Briefly press the Capture button to take a still image.
  • Videooptagelse: Press and hold the Capture button to start recording video. Press again to stop recording.

5.4. Dataoverførsel

6. Vedligeholdelse

6.1. Rensning

  • Linse: Use a lens cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optics. Avoid touching the lens surface with fingers.

Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure the lens cap is in place to protect the objective lens.
