4. Opsætning

4.2 Strømtilslutning

  1. Sørg for, at afbryderen er i OFF-positionen.
  2. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC Power Connector on the rear panel of the instrument.

5.1 Basic Measurement Setup

To perform a basic spectrum measurement:

  1. Connect the signal source to the RF Input Connector.
  2. Tryk på FREKV key to set the Center Frequency and Span. Use the numeric keypad or the knob for adjustment.
  3. Tryk på BW key to adjust the Resolution Bandwidth (RBW) and Video Bandwidth (VBW). A 1Hz minimum RBW allows for effective distinction of nearby signals.
  4. Tryk på AMPTD key to set the Reference Level and Attenuation.
  5. Observe the spectrum display on the 9-inch high-resolution LCD.

5.2 Quick Detection Function

The XSA815TG features a quick detection function for ASK/FSK modulated signals, commonly found in automotive remote controls and small radio modules. This function allows for direct retrieval of average frequency, power, and offset parameters.

  1. Navigate to the Quick Detection menu (refer to the on-screen menu for exact path).
  2. Apply the ASK/FSK signal to the RF Input.
  3. The analyzer will automatically capture and display the relevant parameters.

5.3 EMC Test Function (Optional)

With optional software, the XSA815 can perform EMC pre-compliance tests. It integrates over 200 common EMC test standards.

  1. Ensure the optional EMC test software is installed and activated.
  2. Select the desired EMC test standard from the menu.
  3. The software will automatically configure the spectrum analyzer for the test.
  4. Perform the test, and the data will be recorded and compared against the selected standard.

5.4 Waterfall Chart Analysis

The Waterfall Chart feature allows you to visualize the behavior of signal parameters over time, which is particularly useful for analyzing intermittent signals or signal stability.

  1. Access the Waterfall Chart function from the display menu.
  2. The display will show a 3D representation of frequency, amplitude, and time.
  3. Analyze the chart to identify changes in signal characteristics or intermittent interference.
