Opsætning og installation

To set up your VIISAN S21-V scanner, follow these steps:

1. Pak enheden ud: Carefully remove all components from the packaging, including the scanner unit, USB cable, and scan pad.
2. Place the Scan Pad: Lay the black scan pad flat on a stable, clear surface where you intend to use the scanner.

1. Document Scanning

The VIISAN S21-V can efficiently scan various documents, including large formats up to A2 size. The software supports automatic cropping and de-skewing for optimal results.

2. Book Scanning

The S21-V is optimized for book scanning, featuring intelligent software that can digitally flatten curved pages and remove fingers from scanned images. It supports scanning thick books up to 80mm height.

3. Stregkodescanning

The scanner can also be used for barcode recognition, exporting data to Excel and image files for easy management.

4. Multiple Image Scanning

Scan multiple small items simultaneously. The software will automatically crop and de-skew individual items, saving them as separate images.

5. Text-to-Speech (TTS) Functionality

The integrated OCR feature allows you to convert scanned text into editable Word, Excel, Epub, or Txt files. Additionally, you can generate MP3 audio files from scanned text using the Text-to-Speech feature.

6. Video Recording and Live Demonstration

The S21-V can record videos in Full HD (1920x1080@30fps) quality. It is also a UVC/UAC compliant device, allowing you to use it as a visualizer or document camera with third-party video conferencing software for live demonstrations and remote meetings.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your VIISAN S21-V scanner, regular maintenance is recommended:

• Rensning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the scanner body and lens. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces.
• Scan Pad Care: Keep the scan pad clean and free of dust or debris to ensure accurate scanning.

If you encounter issues with your VIISAN S21-V scanner, consider the following common solutions:

• Softwarekompatibilitet: Ensure your operating system (Windows or macOS) meets the software requirements. The OfficeCam software supports x64 and x86 architectures on Windows PCs and macOS. It is not compatible with ARM-based devices, such as the Surface Pro X.
• Problemer med billedkvalitet:
  • Slørede billeder: Ensure the document is flat and within the scanner's focus range.
  • Poor Lighting: The scanner has a built-in 3-level LED light. Adjust the brightness using the touch control on the base. Avoid using the built-in LEDs in very bright light, and note that very glary papers are not recommended as they can cause reflections.
  • Curved Pages: Utilize the software's auto-flattening feature for books and documents with curved pages.
