Indledning

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Cisco IP Phone 8845. The Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series with Multi-Platform Phone firmware is designed to enhance workplace productivity with its user-friendly features, ergonomic design, wideband audio, and secure communications.

The Cisco IP Phone 8845 features a 5-inch VGA backlit color display and supports 720p HD two-way video. It includes a Gigabit Ethernet switch and supports Class 2 Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Opsætning

1. Fysisk forbindelse

Before connecting the phone, ensure you have access to a network drop and, if not using Power over Ethernet (PoE), a power outlet.

2. Første opstart og konfiguration

Once connected, the phone will power on automatically and begin the boot-up process. This may take a few minutes.

  • The phone will attempt to obtain network configuration (IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS) via DHCP.
  • It will then attempt to register with your call control system (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Cisco Webex Calling).
  • Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection or network settings if DHCP is not available.

Note: This device is optimized for Cisco Webex Calling. A Cisco Webex subscription must be purchased separately for full functionality.

The phone features dedicated buttons for common functions:
