Opsætning og første brug
Indledende rengøring
Before using your Moka Induction for the first time, it is essential to clean it thoroughly. Disassemble all parts and rinse each component with plain water. Do not use any detergents or place the unit in a dishwasher, as this can damage the product and negatively affect the taste of your coffee.
First Brew Cycles
To season the Moka pot and remove any residual manufacturing odors, perform 2-3 brewing cycles using only water, without coffee. Discard the water after each cycle. This process helps to ensure optimal coffee flavor from your first actual brew.
Betjeningsvejledning
Follow these steps to brew coffee with your Bialetti Moka Induction:
- Fill the Lower Boiler with Water: Unscrew the upper chamber from the lower boiler. Fill the lower boiler with cold water up to the level of the safety valve. Do not exceed this level.
- Add Ground Coffee to the Filter Funnel: Insert the filter funnel into the lower boiler. Fill the filter funnel with ground coffee. Do not tamp the coffee. Level the coffee gently without pressing it down.
- Saml Moka-kanden: Screw the upper chamber firmly onto the lower boiler. Ensure a tight seal to prevent steam leakage.
- Placering på komfuret: Place the Moka Induction on your induction hob or other compatible stovetop. Use a medium heat setting.

- Tag af varmen: Once the upper chamber is filled with coffee and the gurgling sound becomes more pronounced, remove the Moka pot from the heat source. This prevents the coffee from overheating and developing a bitter taste.

Vedligeholdelse og rengøring
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity of your Moka pot and the best coffee flavor.
- After each use, allow the Moka pot to cool completely.
- Disassemble all parts: upper chamber, filter plate, gasket, filter funnel, and lower boiler.
- Rinse each component thoroughly with warm water.
- Important: Do not use detergents, abrasive materials, or steel wool, as these can damage the aluminum and stainless steel surfaces and affect coffee taste.
- Må ikke vaskes i opvaskemaskine. Dishwashers can cause discoloration and corrosion, and remove the protective patina that develops inside the Moka pot, which contributes to flavor.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing to prevent oxidation.
Fejlfinding
- Coffee is not brewing or brews slowly: Ensure the lower boiler is filled with water up to the safety valve. Check that the filter funnel is not overfilled or that the coffee grounds are not tamped too tightly. The grind size might be too fine, causing clogging.
- Coffee tastes bitter: This can occur if the coffee is brewed too long or on too high heat. Remove the Moka pot from the heat as soon as the gurgling sound becomes strong. The coffee grind might also be too fine.
- Water leaks from the side: Ensure the upper and lower chambers are screwed together tightly. Check that the gasket is properly seated and not worn out. Replace the gasket if it appears damaged or stiff.
- Filter basket is difficult to remove: After brewing, the filter basket can sometimes be difficult to remove due to suction. Allow the pot to cool slightly, then try using a magnet to lift the basket from the base, or gently tap the base to loosen it.
- Optimal Coffee Grind: For best results, use a coffee grind that is finer than drip coffee but coarser than traditional espresso grind. An espresso grind can sometimes be too fine, leading to clogging and a bitter brew.
