Opsætning

1. Pakker ud: Carefully remove the chain lock and any included keys from its packaging.
2. Nøgleidentifikation: Identify the keys provided. It is recommended to keep one key in a safe, separate location as a spare.
3. Indledende kontrol: Before first use, insert a key into the lock cylinder and turn it to ensure smooth operation of the locking and unlocking mechanism.

Betjeningsvejledning

1. Sikring af din cykel:
   • Position your bicycle next to a fixed, immovable object such as a lamppost, bike rack, or sturdy fence.
   • Thread the chain through the bicycle frame and at least one wheel. For maximum security, also loop it around the fixed object.
   • Insert the end of the chain into the locking mechanism.
2. Låsning:
   • Push the locking bolt firmly into the lock body until it clicks into place.
   • Ensure the lock is securely closed by gently pulling on the chain.
   • Fjern nøglen.
3. Oplåsning:
   • Sæt nøglen helt ind i låsecylinderen.
   • Turn the key to release the locking bolt.
   • Pull the chain end out of the lock body and remove the chain from your bicycle and the fixed object.
   • Fjern nøglen.

Opretholdelse

• Smøring: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months, or more frequently in harsh conditions), apply a small amount of lock lubricant (e.g., graphite-based or silicone-free spray) into the keyhole and the locking mechanism. This helps maintain smooth operation and prevents corrosion.
• Rensning: Wipe the chain and its coating with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the synthetic fiber coating.
• Nøglepleje: Do not force the key if it feels stiff. Ensure the key is fully inserted and the lock cylinder is clean. Avoid using damaged or bent keys.
