1. Introduktion
This manual provides instructions for the proper use and care of your KitchenAid KQ909 Dual Platform Digital Kitchen and Food Scale. This scale features two independent weighing platforms designed for precise measurement of various ingredients.
- Large Platform (Platform 1): Measures up to 11 pounds (5000 grams) with 0.1 ounce (1 gram) increments. Ideal for larger quantities like flour or produce.
- Precision Platform (Platform 2): Measures up to 16 ounces (500 grams) with 0.001 ounce (0.01 gram) increments. Suitable for small, critical ingredients such as yeast or spices.
The scale is equipped with a backlit LCD display for clear readings and a Tare function for convenient measurement of multiple ingredients in one container.

2. Sikkerhedsoplysninger

4. Opsætning
- Installer batterier: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment cover and insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
- Placering: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Uneven surfaces can affect accuracy.

5. Betjeningsvejledning
5.1. Tænd/sluk
- Tryk på Power-knap (
) to turn the scale on. The display will illuminate. - For at slukke, tryk og hold nede Power-knap until the display turns off. The scale will also auto shut-off after 3 minutes of no change in weight on the platform.
5.2. Using the Large Platform (Platform 1)
- Ensure the scale is powered on.
- Place items directly onto the large stainless steel platform or use a container.
- The weight will be displayed on the upper line of the backlit LCD display, typically in pounds and ounces (lb oz) or grams (g).

5.3. Using the Precision Platform (Platform 2)
- Ensure the scale is powered on.
- Place small, precise ingredients directly onto the smaller stainless steel platform or use a small container.
- The weight will be displayed on the lower line of the backlit LCD display, typically in ounces (oz) or grams (g) with higher precision.

5.4. Tarafunktion
The Tare function allows you to zero out the weight of a container or to measure multiple ingredients consecutively in the same bowl.
- Place an empty container on either Platform 1 or Platform 2.
- Tryk på det tilsvarende Tara knap for the platform you are using (button labeled '1' for Platform 1, button labeled '2' for Platform 2). The display for that platform will reset to zero.

5.5. Hold-funktion
The scale features a Hold function, indicated by an icon on the diagram. This function typically allows the displayed weight to be held on the screen even after the item is removed from the platform. Consult the on-screen icons or a quick press of a tare button after weighing to activate/deactivate if needed.
6. Vedligeholdelse og rengøring
- The stainless steel weighing platforms are designed for easy cleaning. Wipe them with a damp klud umiddelbart efter brug.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or submerging the scale in water.

7. Fejlfinding
- Inaccurate Readings / Fluctuating Weight: Ensure the scale is on a perfectly flat, stable, and level surface. Avoid placing it near vibrations or drafts. Recalibrate if possible (refer to manufacturer support if no user calibration method is provided).
- Display Shows "UNSE" or "ERR": This typically indicates an unstable surface or an overloaded platform. Remove items, ensure the scale is on a stable surface, and restart. If the error persists, it may indicate internal damage, possibly from moisture exposure.
- Skalaen tænder ikke: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fresh. Replace all three AAA batteries if necessary.
- Auto Shut-Off Too Soon: The scale is designed to auto shut-off after 3 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. This is normal operation.

9. Garanti og support
KitchenAid products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship. For one year from the date of purchase, under normal use and care, KitchenAid will replace this product free of charge if it is found to be defective in material or workmanship.
In addition, from year two through the life of this product, any product found to be defective under conditions of normal use and care will be repaired at no charge or replaced with the same item or an item of equal or better value.
