This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Respekta DH540IXL under-cabinet hood. Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference to ensure safe and efficient operation of the appliance.

4. Installation

The Respekta DH540IXL hood is designed for easy under-cabinet mounting. Ensure you have the necessary tools and follow local regulations for ventilation system installation.

4.1 Dimensioner og montering

The hood has specific dimensions for installation. A 125 mm duct connection is provided for exhaust air operation. The power cable length is 155 cm.

4.2 driftstilstande

The hood can operate in two modes:

• Exhaust Air (Ducted): Air is extracted from the kitchen and expelled outside through a ducting system. This mode requires a grease filter mat.
• Recirculation Air (Ductless): Air is filtered and then returned to the kitchen. This mode requires both a grease filter mat and an activated carbon filter mat (sold separately) to remove odors.

5. Betjening

The hood is operated using the slide switches located on the front panel.

5.1 Blæserhastighedskontrol

Use the slide switch marked '0 1 2 3' to select the desired fan speed:

• 0: Slukket
• 1 (Lav): For light odors and minimal steam.
• 2 (Mellem): For moderate cooking odors and steam.
• 3 (Høj): For strong cooking odors and heavy steam.

The hood offers an airflow capacity ranging from 110 to 205 m³/h depending on the selected speed.

5.2 Lysstyring

Use the slide switch marked '0 1' to control the LED lighting:

• 0: Lys slukket
• 1: Lys tændt

6. Vedligeholdelse

Regelmæssig vedligeholdelse sikrer din emhættes levetid og optimale ydeevne.

6.1 Cleaning the Metal Grease Filter

The metal grease filter (MIZ 0088) should be cleaned regularly, typically every 3-4 weeks depending on usage, to prevent grease buildup and maintain extraction efficiency. It is washable and easily removable.

1. Afbryd emhætten fra strømforsyningen.
2. Locate and unlatch the grease filter(s).
3. Remove the filter(s) carefully.
4. Wash the filter(s) by hand in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle.
5. Allow the filter(s) to dry completely before reinserting.
6. Reinstall the filter(s) and reconnect the power.

6.2 Udskiftning af aktivt kulfiltre (kun recirkulationstilstand)

If your hood is operating in recirculation mode, the activated carbon filters (not included, purchased separately) should be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on usage. These filters cannot be washed or regenerated.

1. Afbryd emhætten fra strømforsyningen.
2. Remove the metal grease filters as described above.
3. Remove the old activated carbon filters.
4. Install new activated carbon filters according to their specific instructions.
5. Reinstall the metal grease filters and reconnect the power.

6.3 Generel rengøring

Clean the exterior surfaces of the hood with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaners.
