Proper installation of the NDS 420 Pop-Up Drainage Emitter ensures optimal performance and longevity. Follow these steps for a successful setup.

1. Forberedelse af stedet

  • Identify Discharge Point: Choose a location away from building foundations, driveways, and other structures where water can safely disperse without causing erosion or pooling.

  • Position Emitter: Place the emitter in the ground so that its top surface is flush or slightly above the surrounding grade. This allows for easy mowing and prevents tripping hazards.

Operation

The NDS 420 Pop-Up Drainage Emitter operates automatically based on water pressure within your drainage system.

  • When water flows into the drainage pipe and reaches the emitter, the pressure of the water will cause the green cap to pop up, allowing the water to discharge.
  • Once the water flow ceases and the pressure subsides, the integrated spring mechanism will retract the cap, returning the emitter to its closed, flush position.
  • This automatic action ensures that the emitter is only open when actively discharging water, preventing debris from entering the system and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of your landscape.
