1. Introduktion

Thank you for choosing the Rossmax Swiss Design X5 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. This device is designed for accurate and reliable measurement of blood pressure and pulse rate at home. It incorporates advanced PARR (Pulse Arrhythmia) technology for early detection of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), Premature Contraction (PC), Tachycardia, and Bradycardia during regular blood pressure checks. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and to maximize the benefits of this device.

4. Opsætning

4.1 Batteriinstallation

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the unit.
2. Insert four (4) AA size batteries according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
3. Luk batteridækslet forsvarligt.

Note: The device can also be powered by an optional AC adaptor (not included).

4.2 Cuff Connection

Insert the air plug of the cuff firmly into the air jack on the left side of the monitor. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leakage during measurement.

5. Betjeningsvejledning

5.1 Før måling

• Undgå at spise, drikke alkohol, ryge og motionere i mindst 30 minutter før målingen.
• Hvil i mindst 5 minutter, før du foretager en måling.
• Sid oprejst med støtte i ryggen og fødderne fladt på gulvet.
• Placer din arm på et bord, så manchetten er i hjertehøjde.
• Ensure the cuff is applied directly to your bare arm, not over clothing.

5.2 Påsætning af manchetten

1. Slide the end of the cuff through the metal ring to form a loop. The smooth cloth should be on the inside of the cuff loop.
2. Place the cuff on your left upper arm so that the air tube runs down the inside of your arm.
3. The bottom edge of the cuff should be approximately 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) above your elbow.
4. Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm. Ensure it is not too tight or too loose.

5.3 Tage en måling

1. Tryk på Magt knappen for at tænde skærmen.
2. Manchetten pustes automatisk op. Forbliv stille og tavs under målingen.
3. Once the measurement is complete, the monitor will display your Systolic (SYS), Diastolic (DIA) blood pressure, and Pulse rate.
4. The display will also show indicators for PARR technology (ARR/AFib/PC) if detected.
5. The measurement will be automatically stored in the device's memory.
6. The device will auto-shut-off approximately 1 minute after the last key operation.

5.4 Understanding Display Indicators

• SYS: Systolic blood pressure (upper value).
• DAG: Diastolic blood pressure (lower value).
• PULSE /min: Your pulse rate in beats per minute.
• ARR: Arrhythmia detection.
• AFib: Atrial Fibrillation detection.
• PC: Premature Contraction detection.
• M: Memory indicator. The device stores 60 memories for each of two zones.

6. Vedligeholdelse

6.1 Rengøring

• Clean the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth.
• Brug ikke slibende rengøringsmidler, og nedsænk ikke enheden i vand.

6.2 Opbevaring

• Opbevar enheden et køligt, tørt sted, væk fra direkte sollys og ekstreme temperaturer.
• Hvis enheden ikke skal bruges i længere tid, skal batterierne fjernes for at forhindre lækage.
