1. Introduktion

The sensor provides rock-solid data output for 3-axis XYZ (Pitch, Roll, Yaw) acceleration, gyroscope, angle, magnetic field, and Quaternion. Its measurement range and output rate (0.2-200Hz) are selectable, offering flexibility for diverse applications.

3.1. Hardwareforbindelse

3.1.1. TTL Interface Wiring

For TTL serial communication, connect the sensor to your microcontroller or USB-UART converter using the provided male headers. Ensure correct pin mapping for VCC, GND, TX, and RX.

3.2.1. PC Software Connection

After installing the PC software, connect the sensor via a USB-UART converter (not included). Ensure the correct COM port and baud rate are selected in the software.

3.2.2. Mobile App Connection (iOS/Android)

Download the 'WITMOTION' app from your device's app store. Enable Bluetooth and location services on your smartphone. Open the app, select the appropriate sensor series (e.g., BLE 5.0 Series), and scan for your device. The sensor's blue LED will flash, indicating it's discoverable.

4.1. Data Monitoring and Recording

The WITMOTION software provides a dashboard for real-time data monitoring, including acceleration, angular velocity, angle, and magnetic field. You can also record data for later analysis.

4.2. Sensor konfiguration

The software allows you to configure various sensor parameters, such as output rate, measurement range, and communication settings, to suit specific application requirements.

4.3. Kalibreringsprocedurer

For optimal accuracy, it is recommended to perform calibration procedures before initial use and periodically thereafter.

4.3.1. Accelerationskalibrering

Place the sensor on a horizontal, stable surface. In the software, initiate acceleration calibration. The sensor will automatically adjust its acceleration bias to ensure accurate readings, typically resulting in 0g on X and Y axes and 1g on the Z-axis when stationary.

4.3.2. Kalibrering af magnetfelt

Magnetic field calibration is crucial for accurate heading information. Ensure the sensor is away from any magnetic interference (e.g., mobile phones, computers, metal objects). Follow the on-screen instructions in the software to rotate the sensor 360 degrees around its X, Y, and Z axes. This process helps the sensor map the local magnetic field and correct for distortions.
