This manual provides essential instructions for the proper use and care of your Orient Ray 2 Automatic Mechanical Sports Diver Watch, Model AA02006M. This timepiece features an Orient 22-jewel F6922 automatic movement, offering both automatic and manual winding capabilities, along with a hacking second hand. Designed for reliability, it boasts a water resistance of 200 meters (20 bar), making it suitable for various water activities.
Opsætning
1. Indledende vikling
Your Orient Ray 2 watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. If the watch has stopped, it requires initial winding to start. To wind the watch manually:
- Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it is free from the case.
- In position 1 (normal position, unscrewed), rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- Gently push the crown back in and screw it clockwise until it is securely tightened against the case. This ensures water resistance.
Alternatively, wearing the watch for several hours will also wind the movement through natural wrist motion.
2. Indstilling af tid og dato
Sådan indstiller du tid og dato på dit ur:
- Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it is free from the case.
- Pull the crown out to position 2. This is the date setting position. Rotate the crown to set the day and date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
- Pull the crown out further to position 3. This is the time setting position. The second hand will stop (hacking feature). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set by observing if the date changes when passing midnight.
- Once the time and date are set, gently push the crown back into position 1 and screw it clockwise until it is securely tightened against the case.

Betjening af uret
Automatisk bevægelse
The Orient Ray 2 features an automatic movement that winds itself through the natural motion of your wrist. When worn regularly (approximately 8 hours a day), the watch will maintain its power reserve. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding as described in the Setup section.
Water Resistance (200m / 20 bar)
This watch is rated for 200 meters (20 bar) of water resistance, making it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and recreational diving. Vigtig: Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged or wet.
Ensrettet roterende bezel
The watch is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel, typically used for timing dives or other events. To use the bezel:
- Rotate the bezel counter-clockwise to align the zero marker with the minute hand.
- The elapsed time can then be read from the bezel against the minute hand.

Opretholdelse
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your Orient Ray 2 watch.
- Rensning: Regularly wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration. For water-resistant models, a damp klud kan bruges, efterfulgt af tørring.
- Undgå ekstreme forhold: Protect your watch from extreme temperatures (hot or cold), strong magnetic fields, and severe shocks.
- Kronepleje: Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down when not setting the time or date to maintain water resistance.
- Service: Mechanical watches benefit from periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker to ensure optimal performance and lubrication of moving parts.
