Indledning

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your FreedConn TCOM-SC Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and safety.

Opsætning og installation

Follow these steps to install the TCOM-SC headset on your helmet:

1. Step 1: Select Mounting Location. Choose a suitable location on the left side of your helmet for either the adhesive mount or the clamp mount. Ensure it does not obstruct your vision or helmet functionality.
2. Step 2: Install Mount.
   • For Clamp Montering: Løsn skruerne på clamp, slide it between the helmet shell and inner padding, and tighten the screws securely.
   • For Adhesive Mount: Clean the chosen area thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive mount and firmly press it onto the helmet surface for at least 30 seconds. Allow it to cure for 24 hours before attaching the main unit.
3. Step 3: Attach Main Unit. Slide the TCOM-SC main unit onto the installed mount until it clicks into place.
4. Step 4: Install Speakers and Microphone.
   • Place the speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets using the provided Velcro pads. Ensure they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound.
   • Attach the microphone to the inside of the helmet, positioning it close to your mouth. Use the hard microphone for open-face/half helmets and the soft microphone for full-face helmets.
   • Route the speaker and microphone wires neatly under the helmet padding to the main unit, and connect them to the appropriate ports.

Tænd/sluk

• Tænd: Press and hold the Power/Intercom button for approximately 3 seconds until the device powers on. The LCD screen will illuminate.
• Sluk: Press and hold the Power/Intercom button for approximately 3 seconds until the device powers off.

Bluetooth Pairing (Phone)

To pair your TCOM-SC with a mobile phone:

1. Ensure the TCOM-SC is powered off.
2. Press and hold the Power/Intercom button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode. The LCD screen may display "Pairing".
3. On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "FreedConn TCOM-SC".
4. Select "FreedConn TCOM-SC" from the list of available devices to connect. Once paired, the LED will flash blue slowly, and the LCD screen will show a connected icon.

Intercom Pairing (TCOM-SC Units)

The TCOM-SC supports 2-way intercom communication with up to 3 units paired. Note that pairing methods differ between old (Bluetooth 2.0-4.1) and new (Bluetooth 5.0) versions.

Pairing New Version TCOM-SC (Bluetooth 5.0) with another New Version TCOM-SC:

1. Ensure both units are off.
2. On both units, press and hold the Power/Intercom button for 6-8 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue rapidly, and you hear "enhanced pairing status".
3. The units will automatically search and connect. Once connected, the LED will flash blue slowly.

Pairing New Version TCOM-SC (Bluetooth 5.0) with Old Version TCOM-VB/SC (Bluetooth 2.0-4.1):

1. Ensure both units are off.
2. På Gammel udgave unit, press and hold the Power/Intercom button for 8 seconds until the red and blue lights flash, and you hear "pairing".
3. På Ny version unit, press and hold the Power/Intercom button for 2 seconds to turn it on. It will enter pairing status automatically. Then, press the Multi-function button for 8 seconds to enter "enhanced pairing mode".
4. The units will connect. The old version's LED will change to blue, and the new version's LCD will show a connected icon.

To disconnect intercom, short press the Power button on the New TCOM-SC unit.

Intercom kommunikation

• Once paired, short press the Power/Intercom button on either unit to initiate intercom communication.
• To end intercom communication, short press the Power/Intercom button again.
• The maximum intercom distance is 800 meters.

Musikafspilning og -deling

• Afspil/pause: Tryk kort på multifunktionsknappen.

• Musikdeling: Two Bluetooth 5.0 TCOM-SC/VB units can share music from one smartphone via the intercom function. Initiate intercom, then play music on the connected phone.

FM radio

• Tænd/sluk FM-radio: Long press the Multi-function button for 3 seconds.
• Scanningsstationer: Short press the Multi-function button to automatically scan and save stations.
• Skift station: Rotate the rotary knob forward or backward to switch between saved stations.

Telefonopkald

• Besvar opkald: Short press the Multi-function button. (Automatic answering can be enabled/disabled in settings, refer to the LCD screen for options).
• Afvis opkald: Long press the Multi-function button for 2 seconds.
• Afslut opkald: Tryk kort på multifunktionsknappen.
• Voice Dialing (Siri/Google Assistant): Double-press the Multi-function button to activate your phone's voice assistant.

Lydstyrkekontrol

• Rotate the rotary knob and hold it to adjust the volume up or down.

Opretholdelse

• Rensning: Brug en blød, damp cloth to clean the main unit. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
• Opladning: Charge the device using the provided USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. The LCD screen displays battery level.
• Opbevaring: Opbevar enheden på et køligt, tørt sted, når det ikke er i brug.
• Vandtæthed: The unit is water-resistant, but avoid submerging it in water.

Fejlfinding
