The MEILAN X5 Smart Bike Tail Light is designed to enhance cycling safety with its advanced features. It provides high visibility, wireless remote control for turn signals, ground warning lines, and automatic brake detection.

2. Opsætning og installation

2.1 Montering af baglygte

The MEILAN X5 tail light offers two primary installation methods: on the seat post or under the saddle.

Method 1: Installing on Seat Post

1. Choose the appropriate silicone pad thickness based on your seat post diameter. Insert the pad into the seat post bracket and clamp it onto the seat post.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to secure the fixing bracket firmly.
3. Gently press the fixing plate and clamp it into the tail light.
4. Adjust the tail light angle up and down as needed for optimal visibility.

Method 2: Installing under Saddle

1. Insert the tail light into the fixing bracket and install the two screws on the fixing bracket.
2. Place the tail light and fixing bracket under the seat cushion and clamp into the saddle rail.
3. Place another piece of fixed plastic under it.
4. Secure the support using a Phillips screwdriver.

2.2 Installation af fjernbetjening

Install the wireless remote control on your bike's handlebars for easy access.

1. Insert the rubber ring into one end of the remote control card slot.
2. Put the remote control on the handlebars.
3. Pull the rubber ring to the slot on the other side of the remote control.

3. Betjeningsvejledning

3.1 Power On/Off and Light Modes

To turn on the tail light, long press the power button on the device. Once on, use the wireless remote control to switch between various lighting modes:

• Hurtigt blinkende: Rapid blinking for high attention.
• Scroll Flashing: Lights scroll across the tail light.
• Stabil: Constant illumination.
• Drej til højre: Right side of the light flashes to indicate a right turn.
• Drej til venstre: Left side of the light flashes to indicate a left turn.

3.2 Ground Warning Line

The tail light can project two parallel laser lines onto the ground, creating a virtual safety lane around your bicycle. This feature helps to increase your visibility and define your space on the road, especially in low-light conditions.

3.3 Automatic Brake Detection

The MEILAN X5 features an intelligent brake sensing function. When you apply the brakes, the tail light will automatically switch to a fast flashing mode with increased brightness for 13 seconds to alert vehicles and pedestrians behind you. After 13 seconds, it reverts to the previously selected light mode.

3.4 Registrering af omgivende lys

The tail light includes an ambient light detection function. If the tail light is turned on during the day, it will automatically turn off after 30 seconds. In standby mode, it will automatically light up when it detects a dark environment.

4. Vedligeholdelse

4.1 Charging the Tail Light

The MEILAN X5 is USB rechargeable. To check the charging status:

• Ved opladning: The tail light will show a breathing (pulsating) light effect.
• Fuldt opladet: The tail light will remain constantly on.

4.2 Vandtæthed

The MEILAN X5 Smart Bike Tail Light has an International Protection Rating of IPX5, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for use in various weather conditions, including rain.

5. Fejlfinding

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your MEILAN X5 Smart Bike Tail Light.

5.1 Light only lasted 10 seconds then stopped working?

• Please fully charge the tail light and try it again in the dark, or cover the light sensor window with your hand.
• The tail light has an Ambient Light Detection function. The light will not stay on during the day and will turn off automatically after 10 seconds. If you don't need this function, please cover the sensor window with a black tape.

5.2 Remote control seems unable to control the tail light or turn it on?

• Please ensure the tail light has been turned on by pressing the button on the bike tail light.
• The most suitable control distance between the tail light and remote is no more than 16.4 ft (5 meters).
• Please replace the battery in the remote if there is no red indicator when you click a button on the remote.

5.3 Why can't it turn off?

• When the tail light's Ambient Light Detection function is turned on (during the day), the tail light cannot be turned off automatically.
• If you need to turn off the tail light, you need to shield the light sensor window, then press and hold the power button on the tail light again to turn it off, or use the remote control to turn off the tail light.
