For accurate readings, consider the following for remote sensor placement:

• Place sensors in shaded areas, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can skew temperature readings.
• Ensure sensors are protected from direct rain or snow. While weather-resistant, prolonged exposure to harsh elements can affect longevity.
• Position sensors within the wireless range of the main unit (typically up to 100 feet/30 meters, line of sight). Walls and obstacles will reduce this range.
• Avoid placing sensors near large metal objects or strong electromagnetic fields.
