Installation af batteri

The CT200 operates on two AA batteries. To install or replace batteries, locate the battery compartment on the underside of the unit. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw securing the battery compartment cover. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.

Generel drift

The CT200 features an intuitive interface with an LED indicator for test results. To begin testing, ensure the unit is powered on. Select the desired mode using the MODE switch.

Cable Test Mode

This mode is used for testing individual cables. Connect one end of the cable to an "OUT" port and the other end to an "IN" port on the tester. The LED display will show the pin connections, and indicator lights will illuminate to show the status of each connection (e.g., Pass, Crossed, Shorted, Open, Intermittent). Press the RESET button after inserting both ends of the cable to clear previous readings and initiate a new test.

Installed Cable Test Mode

• "1/4" TS cables test shorted": The CT200 is designed to test TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) 1/4" cables. For TS (Tip-Sleeve) mono 1/4" cables, the tester may indicate a short between the ring and sleeve, which is normal for a TS cable as it lacks a ring connection. To accurately test TS cables, use a 1/4" TS to RCA adapter and connect it to the RCA inputs on the side of the tester.
• Intermitterende læsninger: If the "INTERMITTENT" light flickers or other lights change when wiggling the cable, it indicates a loose connection or internal break within the cable. This cable should be repaired or replaced.
