4. Installation
4.1 Montering af controlleren
- Choose a suitable indoor or outdoor location near a power outlet and away from direct sunlight or extreme weather. The controller features an integrated weatherproof locking case for outdoor use.
- Mark the mounting holes on the wall using the controller as a template.

4.2 Wiring the Sprinkler Valves
The controller features a swing panel and angled terminals for easy access and convenient wiring.
- Open the controller's front panel.
- Connect the common wire from your sprinkler system to the terminal labeled 'COMMON' or 'C'.
- Connect each zone wire from your sprinkler valves to the numbered terminals (1-12) corresponding to your zones.
- If you have a master valve or pump start relay, connect its wire to the terminal labeled 'MV' or 'P/MV'.
- Utilize the knock-outs for 1/2" and 1" conduit if running wires through conduit.
4.3 Strømtilslutning
- Connect the power adapter to the controller's power input.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard 110 Volt electrical outlet.

5. Opsætning
5.1 Download af app og oprettelse af konto
- Download the Orbit B-hyve app from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).
- Open the app and create a new account, or log in if you already have one.
5.2 Wi-Fi-forbindelse
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your B-hyve controller to your home Wi-Fi network. This typically involves putting the controller into pairing mode and selecting your Wi-Fi network in the app.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the controller's location for reliable connectivity.
5.3 Indledende konfiguration
- Once connected, the app will guide you through setting up your zones, including naming them and specifying details like soil type, plant type, and sun exposure for optimal smart watering.
- Set your location to enable WeatherSense technology for local weather data integration.

6. Betjening
6.1 Programmeringsplaner
You can program watering schedules either through the B-hyve app or directly on the controller using the rotary push-button dial.
- App Programming: The app provides a user-friendly interface to create and manage multiple watering programs, including start times, run durations for each zone, and watering days.
- On-Device Programming: Use the dial and buttons on the controller to set basic watering schedules.
6.2 Smart Watering with WeatherSense
WeatherSense technology automatically adjusts watering based on site conditions such as slope, soil type, sun/shade, historical ET (Evapotranspiration), and live weather feeds. This feature helps optimize water usage and ensures your plants receive the right amount of water.

6.3 Manuel vanding
You can manually run a single zone or all zones for a specified duration directly from the controller or through the app. This is useful for testing or providing extra water when needed.
6.4 Forsinkelse af regn
The controller allows you to set a rain delay, pausing all watering for a set period (e.g., 24, 48, 72 hours) to prevent overwatering after rainfall. WeatherSense will automatically implement delays based on forecasts.

7. Vedligeholdelse
7.1 Vinterisering
Before the first freeze, it is recommended to:
- Disconnect the power adapter from the controller.
- Drain any water from the irrigation system to prevent freezing and damage to pipes and valves.
- Store the controller in a dry, protected area if installed outdoors in harsh winter climates, or ensure its weatherproof enclosure is sealed.
7.2 Rengøring
Wipe the controller's exterior with a soft, damp klæde. Brug ikke slibende rengøringsmidler eller opløsningsmidler.
