1. Introduktion og overview
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your JOOAN 8CH Security DVR. This hybrid digital video recorder supports various camera types, including Analog, AHD, TVI, CVI, CVBS, XVI, and IP cameras, offering a versatile solution for your surveillance needs. The DVR utilizes H.265+ video compression technology for efficient storage and provides both local and remote viewing kapaciteter.

2. Opsætning
2.1 Hard Drive Installation (Optional for Recording)
The JOOAN 8CH Security DVR does not include a pre-installed hard drive. To enable video recording and playback, a 3.5-inch SATA security hard drive (350GB to 6TB capacity) must be installed. For hard drives larger than 2TB, it is recommended to use a 12V 3A or 12V 5A power adapter (not included) instead of the standard 12V 2A adapter.
- Trin 1: Loosen the screws securing the DVR's top cover.
- Trin 2: Gently push the cover forward and remove it.
- Trin 3: Connect the hard drive to the DVR's internal SATA data and power cables.
- Trin 4: Secure the hard drive inside the box using the provided screws.

2.2 Camera and Peripheral Connection
Connect your surveillance cameras to the BNC video input ports (V1-V8) on the rear panel. Ensure each camera is powered independently. Connect a monitor via the HDMI or VGA output for local viewing. Connect a USB mouse to one of the USB ports for navigation. For network access, connect an Ethernet cable from the DVR to your router.

2.3 Tænd
After all connections are made, connect the provided 12V 2A power adapter to the DVR and a power outlet. The DVR will power on automatically.
3. Betjeningsvejledning
3.1 Local Interface Navigation
Once powered on and connected to a monitor, use the USB mouse to navigate the DVR's on-screen interface. The interface allows for system configuration, live view management, recording settings, and playback.
3.2 Remote Access via Mobile App (XMeye Pro)
Til fjernbetjening viewing and playback on your mobile device, download the free 'XMeye Pro' application. The app provides a convenient way to monitor your surveillance system from anywhere with an internet connection.

3.3 Video Recording and Compression

3.5 Bevægelsesdetektion og advarsler
The DVR features customizable motion detection zones. When motion is detected in a specified area, the system can trigger various alerts, including app push notifications, email alerts, and buzzer alarms. This ensures you are promptly informed of any unexpected activity.

4. Vedligeholdelse
4.1 Harddiskstyring
Regularly check the status of your hard drive through the DVR's interface. If the hard drive becomes full, the DVR may stop recording or overwrite older footage depending on your settings. You may need to format the hard drive periodically to clear old data and maintain optimal recording performance. Refer to the on-screen menu for hard drive formatting options.
4.2 Softwareopdateringer
Periodically check the JOOAN official website for any available firmware updates for your DVR model. Keeping your firmware updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
5. Fejlfinding
- Ingen optagelse/afspilning: Ensure a hard drive is correctly installed and formatted. Check the power adapter if using a large capacity HDD (over 2TB), as a 12V 3A or 5A adapter might be required.
- Intet videosignal: Verify all camera connections (BNC cables) are secure. Ensure cameras are powered on. Check the video input settings on the DVR to ensure they match your camera types (Analog, AHD, TVI, CVI, CVBS, IP).
- Problemer med fjernadgang: Confirm the DVR is connected to the internet via Ethernet. Check your router settings to ensure the DVR has network access. Verify the device ID or QR code used for adding the DVR to the XMeye Pro app is correct. Ensure your mobile device has a stable internet connection.
- Dårlig billedkvalitet: Check camera resolution settings. Ensure cables are not damaged or too long, which can cause signal degradation.
- DVR tænder ikke: Verify the power adapter is correctly connected to the DVR and a working power outlet. Ensure the power adapter is providing the correct voltage (12V).
