Opsætning

1. Udpakning og placering:

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the microscope on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and vibrations.

2. Head Assembly:

Loosen the set screw on the top of the microscope body. Gently insert the trinocular head into the opening, ensuring it is fully seated. Tighten the set screw to secure the head. The head can be rotated 360 degrees for comfortable viewing.

3. Eyepiece Installation:

Remove the protective caps from the eyepiece tubes on the trinocular head. Insert the two 10X widefield eyepieces into the tubes. If dust caps are present, remove them.

4. Objective Installation:

Rotate the revolving nosepiece until the lowest power objective (4X) is positioned over the stage opening. Screw the 4X, 10X, 40X, and 100X Plan Achromatic objectives into the nosepiece in increasing order of magnification. Ensure they are securely tightened.

1. Power On and Illumination:

Turn on the main power switch, usually located at the base of the microscope. Adjust the brightness control knob to achieve comfortable illumination. The Kohler illumination system provides even and bright lighting for optimal viewing.

2. Specimen Placement:

Place your prepared specimen slide onto the mechanical stage. Brug stage clips to hold the slide securely in place. Use the X-Y stage control knobs to center the specimen area you wish to observe under the objective lens.

3. Fokusering:

1. Grov fokus: Begin with the 4X objective. Use the coarse focus knob to bring the specimen into approximate focus.
2. Fin fokus: Once roughly focused, use the fine focus knob for precise focusing. This knob allows for minute adjustments to achieve a sharp image.
3. Interpupillary Distance and Diopter Adjustment: Adjust the interpupillary distance by moving the eyepiece tubes until a single, circular field of view is observed. If one eye requires a different focus, use the diopter adjustment ring on one of the eyepieces to compensate.

4. Changing Magnification:

To increase magnification, rotate the revolving nosepiece to the next higher objective (e.g., from 4X to 10X). Due to the Plan Infinity optical system, the image should remain largely in focus, requiring only minor adjustments with the fine focus knob. When using the 100X objective, apply a small drop of immersion oil directly onto the specimen slide before rotating the 100X objective into position. Ensure the objective lens makes contact with the oil.

5. Using the Trinocular Port:

The trinocular port allows for the attachment of a microscope camera or other imaging device. To direct light to the trinocular port, pull out the light path selector rod (if present) on the side of the head. Refer to your camera's manual for specific attachment and operation instructions.
