1. Introduktion
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Fluke 106 Palm-sized Digital Multimeter. The Fluke 106 is a compact, reliable tool designed for basic electrical measurements in various applications. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device.
2. Sikkerhedsoplysninger
Always adhere to safety precautions when using any electrical testing equipment. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage to the multimeter or equipment under test.
- Klassificeret til KAT III 600V: This multimeter is designed for measurements in distribution boards, circuit breakers, wiring, including cables, bus-bars, junction boxes, switches, socket outlets in the fixed installation, and equipment for industrial use and some other equipment, e.g. stationary motors with permanent connection to fixed installation.
- Do not use the multimeter if it appears damaged or if the test leads are damaged.
- Always connect the common (COM) test lead before connecting the live test lead. Disconnect the live test lead first.
- Påfør ikke mere end den nominelle voltage, as marked on the multimeter, between terminals or between any terminal and earth ground.
- Udskift batterierne, når indikatoren for lavt batteri vises for at sikre nøjagtige aflæsninger.

4.1. Betjeningselementer og display
- Vise: Viser måleaflæsninger, enheder og funktionsindikatorer.
- Drejekontakt: Used to select measurement functions (OFF, V~, V-, mV~, mV-, Ω, Continuity, Capacitance, A~, A-).
- HOLD knap: Freezes the current reading on the display. Press again to release.
- Indgangsterminaler:
- COM: Common terminal for all measurements (black test lead).
- VΩ: Input til bdtage, resistance, continuity, and capacitance measurements (red test lead).
- 10A FUSED: Input for current measurements up to 10A (red test lead).
5. Opsætning
5.1. Batteriinstallation
The Fluke 106 requires two AAA batteries. These are typically included and may be pre-installed. If not, or if replacement is needed:
- Sørg for, at multimeteret er slukket.
- Find batteridækslet på bagsiden af multimeteret.
- Brug en skruetrækker til at fjerne skruen, der fastgør dækslet.
- Carefully remove the old batteries (if any) and insert two new AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
5.2. Tilslutning af testledninger
Always connect the test leads correctly for accurate and safe measurements.
- Indsæt den sorte testledning i KOM (common) terminal.
- For bdtage, resistance, continuity, and capacitance measurements, insert the red test lead into the VΩ terminal.
- For current measurements (up to 10A), insert the red test lead into the 10A SIKRET terminal.
6. Betjeningsvejledning
Before taking any measurement, ensure the test leads are correctly connected and the rotary switch is set to the desired function.
- Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
- Touch the test probes to the points where you want to measure voltage. The reading will appear on the display.
6.2. Measuring Resistance (Ω)
- Indstil drejekontakten til Ω.
- Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
- Touch the test probes across the component or circuit. The resistance value will be displayed.
6.3. Continuity Test ())))
- Sæt drejekontakten til Ω position. The multimeter will automatically detect continuity.
- Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
- Ensure the circuit or component is de-energized.
- Touch the test probes across the points to be tested. If continuity exists (low resistance), the multimeter will emit an audible beep.
6.4. Measuring Capacitance (--| |--)
- Sæt drejekontakten til --| |-- position.
- Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
- Ensure the capacitor is discharged before testing.
- Touch the test probes across the capacitor terminals. The capacitance value will be displayed.
6.5. Measuring AC/DC Current (A~ / A-)
- VIGTIG: For current measurements, the multimeter must be connected in series with the circuit.
- Indstil drejekontakten til A~ for AC current or A- for DC current.
- Open the circuit where you want to measure current and insert the multimeter in series.
- The current reading will appear on the display.
6.6. Datahold
Tryk på HOLDE button to freeze the current reading on the display. This is useful for taking readings in hard-to-see locations. Press the HOLDE button again to release the reading and return to live measurement.
7. Vedligeholdelse
7.1. Rensning
For at rengøre multimeteret skal du tørre huset af med enamp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Ensure the multimeter is completely dry before use.
7.2. Udskiftning af batteri
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in Section 5.1. Using the multimeter with low batteries may result in inaccurate readings.
8. Fejlfinding
If your Fluke 106 multimeter is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues:
- No Display / Faint Display: Check battery charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Forkerte aflæsninger:
- Ensure the correct function is selected on the rotary switch.
- Verify test leads are securely connected to the correct terminals.
- Check for damaged test leads.
- Ensure the circuit is de-energized for resistance/continuity/capacitance tests.
- Ingen biplyd ved kontinuitet: Ensure the rotary switch is set to the continuity function (part of Ω range) and the circuit has low resistance.
- Overload Indication (OL): The measured value exceeds the selected range. Switch to a higher range if available, or verify the circuit is within the multimeter's capabilities.
If problems persist, contact Fluke customer support or an authorized service center.
