1. Introduktion

The JOYO JT-305 is a chromatic pedal tuner designed for guitar and bass. It features a large LED display for clear visibility on stage and offers multiple display modes. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your JT-305 tuner.

3. Kom godt i gang (opsætning)

3.1 Strømforsyning til enheden

The JT-305 can be powered by either a 9V battery or an optional 9V DC AC adapter (center negative, 600mA or greater). A 9V battery is included with the unit.

• Batteri installation: To install or replace the 9V battery, open the battery compartment on the underside of the pedal. Ensure correct polarity.
• AC-adaptertilslutning: Connect a compatible 9V DC AC adapter to the 'DC 9V IN' jack on the rear of the unit.

The unit also features a 'DC 9V OUT' jack (Max 200mA) to supply power to another pedal, reducing the need for multiple power adapters.

3.2 Tilslutning af dit instrument

Connect your instrument (guitar or bass) to the 'INPUT' jack on the right side of the pedal using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable. Connect the 'OUTPUT' jack on the left side of the pedal to your amplifier eller andre effektpedaler.

4. Betjening

4.1 Indstillingsprocedure

1. Engage Tuner: Press the footswitch to engage the tuner. The display will illuminate, and your instrument's signal will be muted.
2. Play a Note: Play a single note on your instrument. The display will show the detected note name (e.g., 'E', 'A', 'D', 'G', 'B', 'e') and an indication of whether it is sharp (#) or flat (b).
3. Juster tonehøjde: The LED meter will indicate if the note is flat (left side), sharp (right side), or in tune (center). Adjust your instrument's tuning pegs until the note is centered and the display indicates it is in tune. The note flows left and right, making it easy to recognize tuning status.
4. Disengage Tuner: Press the footswitch again to disengage the tuner. Your instrument's signal will be restored, and the tuner will be bypassed.

4.2 Skærmtilstande

The JT-305 offers four display modes to suit your preference. To change the display mode, press the 'DISPLAY' button located on the rear panel of the unit (refer to Figure 1).

• Strobe 1, Strobe 2, Strobe 3 Modes: Provide different visual representations of pitch accuracy, often preferred for their precision.

4.3 Kalibreringsjustering

The A4 reference frequency can be adjusted from 436 Hz to 445 Hz. To change the calibration, press the 'CALIB' button located on the rear panel of the unit (refer to Figure 1). Each press will cycle through the available frequencies in 1 Hz steps.

4.4 True Bypass Function

The JT-305 features true bypass circuitry. This means that when the tuner is disengaged (bypassed), your instrument's signal passes directly through the pedal without any electronic buffering or processing. This preserves the original tone of your instrument and other pedals in your signal chain.

5.1 Udskiftning af batteri

When the display dims or the tuner becomes unresponsive, it is time to replace the 9V battery. Follow the instructions in Section 3.1 for battery installation.

5.2 Rengøring

Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight. Do not drop or subject the unit to strong impacts.

6. Fejlfinding

  • If using an AC adapter, ensure it is properly connected and meets the 9V DC (center negative) specification.
• Unøjagtig tuning:
  • Ensure your instrument is properly intonated.
  • Check the A4 calibration setting (Section 4.3) to ensure it matches your desired reference frequency.
  • Ensure only one note is played at a time for accurate detection.
• No Sound When Tuner is Bypassed:
  • Check all cable connections (input, output, amplivligere).
  • Ensure the tuner is receiving power.
