This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your ECHO CS-271T-12 Gas Chain Saw. 2. Opsætning og montering

2.1 Udpakning og inspektion

Carefully remove the chain saw and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. If any damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact your dealer.

2.2 Montering af sværd og kæde

1. Sørg for, at kædebremsen er frakoblet.
2. Remove the chain cover nuts and chain cover.
3. Place the chain around the clutch drum and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face forward on the top of the bar.
4. Monter sværdet på tapperne, og juster kædestrammerens stifter med hullet i sværdet.
5. Sæt kædedækslet på igen, og spænd møtrikkerne med hånden.
6. Adjust chain tension using the side access chain tensioner until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely by hand.
7. Spænd møtrikkerne på kædedækslet helt.

2.3 Brændstof og kædeolie

This chain saw requires a specific fuel mixture and chain lubricant.

• Brændstofblanding: Use a 50:1 ratio of high-quality 2-stroke engine oil to unleaded gasoline (minimum 89 octane). Mix thoroughly in a separate, approved fuel container.
• Kædeolie: Use a high-quality bar and chain oil. Do not use waste oil or motor oil, as this can damage the chain and bar.

Fill the fuel tank and chain oil reservoir, ensuring not to overfill. Wipe up any spills immediately.

3. Betjeningsvejledning

3.1 Start af motoren (koldstart)

1. Place the chain saw on a firm, flat surface. Ensure the chain brake is engaged.
2. Press the purge bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
3. Flyt chokerhåndtaget til positionen FULD CHOKE.
4. Pull the starter handle firmly and quickly until the engine fires (usually 1-3 pulls). Do not pull the rope to its full extension.
5. Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position.
6. Træk i starthåndtaget igen, indtil motoren starter og kører.
7. Once the engine is running, move the choke lever to the RUN position. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.
8. Disengage the chain brake before beginning cutting operations.

3.2 Start af motoren (varmstart)

1. Sørg for, at kædebremsen er aktiveret.
2. Flyt chokerhåndtaget til RUN-positionen.
3. Pull the starter handle firmly and quickly until the engine starts.
4. Disengage the chain brake before beginning cutting operations.

3.3 Skæreteknikker

Always maintain a firm grip with both hands on the chain saw handles. Stand with your feet apart for balance. Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar to prevent kickback.

• Afgrening: Remove branches from a fallen tree. Work from the bottom up, supporting the branch if necessary to prevent pinching.
• Bucking: Cut a fallen log into sections. Be aware of tension and compression in the wood to avoid pinching the bar.

Remove the air filter cover and clean the filter element. Wash foam filters with warm, soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry completely before reinstallation. Replace damaged filters.

4.4 Tændrørsinspektion

Remove the spark plug and inspect for fouling or wear. Clean or replace as necessary. Ensure the correct gap is set.
