5. Opsætning
Follow these steps to set up your HSM Profi Pack P425:
- Udpakning: Remove the shredder from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for potential future transport or storage.
- Placering: Position the shredder on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight (approximately 467 pounds). Ensure there is sufficient space around the machine for ventilation and for feeding and collecting shredded material.
- Strømtilslutning: Connect the power cord to the shredder's power inlet and then plug it into a grounded 115V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the machine's power requirements (12.0 A).
6. Betjeningsvejledning
Operating the HSM Profi Pack P425 is straightforward:
- Tænd: Press the power button (if available, or ensure the machine is plugged in and the power indicator is lit).
- Adjust Throat Width: Use the adjustment lever (Figure 4.3) to set the desired throat width according to the size of the cardboard you intend to shred. The maximum adjustable width is approximately 15.7 inches (400mm).
- Prepare Cardboard: Flatten cardboard boxes and remove any foreign objects such as staples, tape, or labels that could damage the shredding mechanism.
- Feed Cardboard: Gently feed the cardboard into the shredder's opening. The machine can shred up to 3 sheets of cardboard simultaneously, depending on thickness.
- Start Shredding: Press the 'Forward' button on the control panel (Figure 4.2) to begin the shredding process. The machine will pull the cardboard through and convert it into a cross-cut, web-like packaging mat.
- Stop drift: Press the 'Stop' button to halt the shredding process at any time.
