This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Roland TD-4 Percussion Sound Module. The Roland TD-4 is designed to be the central sound engine for your electronic drum kit, offering a variety of drum sounds and practice features.
2. Opsætning
Follow these steps to correctly set up your TD-4 Percussion Sound Module.
2.1 Udpakning og inspektion
Carefully remove the TD-4 module and included power cord from its packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage. If any items are missing or damaged, contact your retailer.
2.2 Tilslutning af strøm
- Ensure the TD-4 module is powered off.
- Connect the included power cord to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the module.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC outlet.

2.3 Connecting Drum Pads and Cymbals
Connect your electronic drum pads and cymbals to the multi-pin trigger input connector on the rear panel of the TD-4 module. This connector is designed to accept a single cable from a compatible Roland V-Drum pad set.
2.4 Connecting Audio Output
Connect the L/MONO and R audio output jacks on the rear panel to your amplifier, mixer, or headphones. Use the L/MONO jack for mono output.

- Tryk på DRUM KIT < or > buttons to cycle through available kits.
- The selected kit number and name will appear on the LCD display.
3.3 Adjusting Tuning and Muffling
To adjust tuning or muffling for a specific pad:
- Strike the pad you wish to adjust.
- Tryk på TUNING or MUFFLING knap.
- Brug Data Entry Dial for at justere parameteren.
- Trykke OK for at bekræfte eller MENU at afslutte uden at gemme.
3.4 Using the Coach Function
The COACH function provides various exercises to improve your drumming skills.
- Tryk på TRÆNER knap.
- Brug SEL ∧ / ∨ buttons and the Data Entry Dial to select an exercise.
- Trykke OK for at starte øvelsen.
3.5 Quick Recording
The Quick Rec function allows you to record and playback your performances.
- Tryk på HURTIG OPTAGELSE button (record icon) to start recording.
- Play your drum performance.

4. Vedligeholdelse
Proper care ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your TD-4 module.
4.1 Rengøring
- Wipe the exterior of the module with a soft, dry cloth.
- For genstridigt snavs, brug en let damp klud og tør derefter straks efter.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
4.2 Opbevaring
- Opbevar modulet et køligt, tørt sted væk fra direkte sollys og ekstreme temperaturer.
- Undgå opbevaring i områder med høj luftfugtighed eller støv.
- If storing for an extended period, disconnect the power cord.
5. Fejlfinding
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your TD-4 module.
5.1 Ingen lydudgang
- Kontroller om modulet er tændt.
- Sørg for BIND knappen er skruet op.
- Verify that audio cables are securely connected to the L/MONO and R output jacks and to your amphøretelefoner/hovedtelefoner.
- Check the volume level on your amplifier eller høretelefoner.
- Ensure drum pads are correctly connected to the trigger input.
5.2 Incorrect Pad Response
- Ensure all pad cables are securely connected to the multi-pin trigger input.
