4. Opsætning og installation

4.1 Valg af placering

4.2 Montering af detektoren

1. Twist the mounting bracket counter-clockwise to separate it from the detector unit.
2. Hold the mounting bracket against the ceiling or wall at your chosen location and mark the screw holes.
3. Drill pilot holes (if necessary) and secure the mounting bracket with the provided screws.
4. Install the 9V battery as described in section 4.3.
5. Align the detector unit with the mounting bracket and twist clockwise until it locks securely into place.
6. Test the detector immediately after installation (refer to section 5.2).

4.3 Batteriinstallation

The Kidde KID29-FR requires one 9V alkaline battery (included). The battery provides power for approximately one year under normal operating conditions.

1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the detector.

5. Betjening

5.1 Indledende opstart

After installing the battery and mounting the detector, it will perform a brief self-test. The red LED indicator will flash, and a short chirp may be heard. This indicates the unit is functioning correctly and is in standby mode, ready to detect smoke.

5.2 Testknap

The test button is used to verify the detector's electronic circuitry, horn, and battery are working. It is recommended to test your smoke detector weekly.

• Press and hold the test button firmly for a few seconds.

5.3 Alarmindikation

6. Vedligeholdelse
