The Kidde AccessPoint KeySafe is a portable key lockbox designed to provide a secure and convenient solution for key control. Your KeySafe features a patented pushbutton combination system. You can choose and set your own code, and it can be changed at any time. For optimal security, it is recommended to use a combination of four to seven different numbers. Over 1,000 different combinations are available.
- Open the KeySafe by entering the current combination (default is usually provided with the product or on the packaging).
- Locate the combination setting mechanism on the back of the faceplate. This mechanism consists of numbered dials or switches.
- Using the provided tool (or a small screwdriver), set the desired numbers to the 'ON' position (typically indicated by an arrow pointing right or 'ON'). Numbers not part of your combination should be set to 'OFF' (arrow pointing left or 'OFF').
- Ensure the new combination is correctly set before closing the lid. The lid will not close if the combination is not set correctly.
- Close the KeySafe lid, ensuring it latches securely.
Mounting the KeySafe
The portable KeySafe is designed for easy hanging without the need for tools. It can be placed on any doorknob, fence, railing, or similar fixture.
- Open the lock box by entering your combination and pressing the 'OPEN' button.
- Locate the shackle release mechanism inside the top compartment. Lift this mechanism to release the shackle.
- Place the shackle over the desired mounting point (e.g., doorknob).
- Reinsert the shackle into the lockbox until it clicks securely into place.

Opening the KeySafe
- To clear any previous entries, slide the 'CLEAR' button (if present) or press the 'OPEN' button a few times.
- Enter your preset combination by pressing the corresponding numbered buttons. The order of pressing the buttons does not matter, only that the correct buttons are pressed.
- Press the 'OPEN' button to release the front cover.
- Retrieve or place keys as needed. The KeySafe can hold up to three standard-sized house keys.

Closing and Locking the KeySafe
- Ensure all keys are securely placed inside the compartment.
- Close the front cover firmly until it clicks into place. The lockbox will not fully close if the combination is still active or if there is an obstruction inside the key compartment.
- To secure the lockbox, scramble the combination by pressing random buttons or sliding the 'CLEAR' button. This prevents unauthorized access.

The KeySafe is constructed from sturdy, powder-coated metal with a protective rubber shell, designed for durability.
- Rensning: Use common cleaners for chemical resistance. Avoid abrasive materials that could damage the finish.
- Miljøeksponering: While designed to be resistant to shock, vibration, humidity, and UV rays, the KeySafe is ikke vandafvisende.
