4. Opsætning
4.1. Batteriinstallation

4.2. Calibration (TruCal Technology)
The StudSensor Pro SL features patented TruCal technology, which automatically calibrates the tool to the wall's density. Proper calibration is crucial for accurate scanning.
- Place the tool flat against the wall where you intend to scan. Ensure there are no studs, pipes, or wires in the immediate area.

5. Betjeningsvejledning
5.1. Basic Stud Scan Mode
This mode is used to locate the edges of wood or metal studs up to 3/4-inch (19 mm) deep.
- After calibration, keep the Power button pressed and slowly slide the tool horizontally across the wall surface.
- As the tool approaches a stud edge, red LEDs will light up sequentially.
- When the tool reaches the stud edge, the green LED will illuminate, an audio alert will sound, and the patented SpotLite Pointing System will shine a beam of light on the wall to mark the target.
- Mark this location. Continue scanning past the stud to find the other edge and mark it. The center of the stud is typically halfway between these two marks.
5.2. DeepScan Mode
DeepScan mode doubles the scanning depth to 1 1/2-inches (38 mm), useful for thicker walls or materials.
- To activate DeepScan mode, ensure the DeepScan switch is in the ON position.
- Follow the same scanning procedure as in Basic Stud Scan Mode.
- Be aware that in DeepScan mode, the tool may detect objects deeper within the wall, which could lead to wider indications or detection of additional elements. If scanning through a single layer of drywall, the DeepScan mode may indicate studs almost a half-inch before reaching the actual edge.
5.3. SpotLite Pointing System and LED Indicators
The SpotLite Pointing System projects a beam of light onto the wall when a stud edge is detected, providing a clear visual indication for marking. The red LEDs progressively light up as you approach a stud, and the green LED, along with an audible tone, confirms the stud edge location.

5.4. Over-the-Stud Indicator
If you begin scanning directly over a stud, Zircon's patented "over-the-stud" indicator will alert you. This feature ensures that you start your scan in a clear area, allowing for proper calibration and accurate detection of stud edges.

6. Vedligeholdelse
- Keep the tool clean and free of dust and debris. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store the tool in a dry place at room temperature.
- Remove the battery if the tool will not be used for an extended period to prevent battery leakage.
