Having been the only mythical creature at his previous school, Pegasus is eager to find a place where he belongs and to discover his special power. However, his initial days are challenging as he struggles with clumsiness and observes his new friends developing their powers before him. The narrative explores themes of self-discovery, friendship, and perseverance as Pegasus navigates his new environment.

  2. Pegasus gets teased for being clumsy. Have you ever been teased? How did it make you feel?
  3. If you could have a special magic power, what would it be? Why would you choose that power?
  4. The Creatures and Beasts in this book don't trust one another. Why do you think that is? How could they learn to get along better?
  5. Mighty Meadow got its name because learning happens there, and learning makes someone mighty. Can you name three ways that learning makes you "mighty"?
