It supports up to four NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs, offering a total capacity of up to 32TB. With compatibility for Thunderbolt 4/3 and USB4 (40Gbps), it ensures rapid data access. The enclosure features a high-performance ASM2464PDX chip and a built-in turbine fan for efficient cooling, maintaining optimal performance during intensive operations.
This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your JEYI 4-Bay RAID NVMe Enclosure.

4. Opsætningsvejledning
4.1 SSD installation
- Open the aluminum case: Use the provided screwdriver to carefully open the enclosure.
- Insert SSD(s): Gently insert your NVMe M.2 2280 SSD(s) into the available slots. Ensure they are seated correctly. No SSD screws are required for installation.
- Cover with thermal pads: Place the silicone thermal pads over the installed SSDs to ensure proper heat dissipation.
- Luk sagen: Carefully put the aluminum case back together and secure it.
- Tilslut strøm: The 4-bay RAID SSD Enclosure requires external power. Connect a 12V/3A PD (Power Delivery) adapter to the 'PD Input' port. Note: A power adapter is not included in the package.
- Connect to host: Connect the enclosure to your computer using the provided 80Gbps cable via the 'Host' port.

5. Betjeningsvejledning
5.1 Usage Modes: Isolated vs. RAID
The enclosure supports two primary usage modes:
- Isolated Mode (Non-RAID): Each installed SSD is recognized as an individual drive by your operating system. This allows you to use 1, 2, 3, or 4 drives separately.
- RAID Mode: Multiple SSDs are combined into a single logical unit for improved speed, redundancy, or both, depending on the RAID level chosen.

5.2 RAID-konfiguration
The enclosure supports various RAID levels:
- Windows-systemer: Supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and JBOD.
- macOS-systemer: Supports RAID 0, RAID 1, and JBOD.
Vigtig bemærkning: RAID configuration is unsupported over standard USB connections. Setting up a RAID array requires a USB 4.0 or Thunderbolt interface. Drives connected via standard USB will be recognized as individual volumes.

5.3 Ventilatorstyring
The enclosure features a built-in turbine fan to manage heat. You can control the fan speed by pressing the button on the enclosure:

- The indicator light color corresponds to the current fan speed:

6. Vedligeholdelse
- Rensning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the enclosure. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Ventilatorpleje: Periodically check the fan vents for dust accumulation. Use compressed air to gently clear any dust to ensure optimal airflow and cooling performance.
- Termiske puder: The included thermal pads are crucial for heat transfer from the SSDs to the aluminum case. Ensure they are properly placed during installation.

7. Fejlfinding
7.1 Generelle problemstillinger
- Indkapsling ikke genkendt:
- Ensure the 12V/3A PD power adapter is connected and providing power.
- Verify the 80Gbps cable is securely connected to both the enclosure and your computer's USB4 or Thunderbolt port.
- Try connecting to a different port on your computer.
- Check if the SSDs are properly installed and seated within the enclosure.

- Ensure you are using a USB4 or Thunderbolt port on your computer. Older USB standards (e.g., USB 3.0/3.1/3.2) will result in lower speeds.
- Confirm your SSDs are NVMe PCIe 4.0 for optimal performance. PCIe 3.0 SSDs will yield lower speeds.
- Check your computer's drivers for USB/Thunderbolt ports.
- Ensure the fan is operating to prevent thermal throttling.
7.2 RAID Configuration Specifics
WARNING: Changing RAID Mode Erases All Data!
Before performing any RAID operation (configuring or unconfiguring), ensure you have backed up all critical data from the drives. All data on the drives will be permanently deleted during RAID mode changes.
After changes, the drive(s) must be re-initialized and a new volume created before use.

7.3 Compatibility Notice for AMD Systems
While fully compatible with Intel and Apple systems, the Quad Enclosure (ASM2464PDX) may experience issues with some AMD-based devices, primarily limited to their USB4.0 and Thunderbolt interfaces. Standard USB 3.2 ports on AMD systems are unaffected and will function normally. AMD users are strongly recommended to verify compatibility with their specific hardware before purchase.

8. Brugertips
- For optimal performance, always use the highest speed port available on your computer (Thunderbolt 4/3 or USB4).
- Regularly check the fan status, especially during prolonged high-load operations, to ensure effective cooling and prevent performance degradation.
- Consider using RAID 0 for maximum speed in applications like video editing, but always back up your data due to lack of redundancy.
- For data redundancy, RAID 1 is recommended, though it halves your total storage capacity.
- If you encounter any issues, ensure all cables are firmly connected and the external power adapter is functioning correctly.
