6. Opsætning

6.1 Opladning af batteriet

The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-On battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator shows low power, charge the device using the provided USB charging cable.

  1. Locate the USB charging port on the side of the device (usually protected by a rubber flap).
  2. Open the rubber flap and insert the small end of the USB cable into the device's port.
  3. Tilslut den anden ende af USB-kablet til en standard USB-strømadapter (medfølger ikke) eller en computers USB-port.
  4. The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and close the rubber flap to protect the port.

6.2 Fastgørelse af håndremmen

Attach the hand strap to the designated loop on the device to prevent accidental drops during use.

7. Betjeningsvejledning

7.1 Tænd/sluk

  • Tænd: Press the power button (usually marked 'C' or a red star) to turn on the device. The laser will activate.
  • Sluk: Press and hold the power button to turn off the device. It will also automatically shut down after 120 seconds of inactivity. The laser will turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity.

7.2 Enhedskonvertering

Press the 'UNIT' button to cycle through available distance units: meters (m), feet (ft), and inches (in). Area and volume units will adjust accordingly.

7.3 Measurement Datum Switching

The device allows switching between two measurement reference points: front and back. This means measurements can be taken from the front edge of the device or the back edge. Switch the reference according to your actual measurement needs.

7.4 Måletilstande

The PG-120 offers nine different measurement modes. Press the mode button (often depicted with multiple squares or a house icon) to cycle through them.

Figur 7: Overview of the nine measurement modes.

7.4.1 Enkeltmåling

Measures the direct distance from the device to a target. Point the laser at the target and press the measurement button (usually the red star or power button) once. The distance will be displayed.

Figure 8: Single, Continuous, Area, and Volume Measurement diagrams.

7.4.2 Kontinuerlig måling (sporing)

Allows for dynamic measurement as you move the device. The display will continuously update with the current distance, often showing maximum and minimum values. Press the measurement button to start and again to stop.

7.4.3 Arealmåling

For at beregne arealet af et rektangulært rum:

  1. Select Area Measurement mode.
  2. Measure the length (a).
  3. Measure the width (b).
  4. The device will automatically calculate and display the area (a x b).

7.4.4 Volumenmåling

For at beregne rumfanget af et rektangulært rum:

  1. Select Volume Measurement mode.
  2. Measure the length (a).
  3. Measure the width (b).
  4. Measure the height (c).
  5. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume (a x b x c).

7.4.5 Wall Area Measurement

This mode is useful for calculating the total area of multiple walls. Measure the height once, then measure the length of each wall. The device sums the lengths and multiplies by the height.

Figure 9: Wall Area and Pythagorean Measurement diagrams.

7.4.6 Pythagorean Measurement (1, 2, 3)

These modes use the Pythagorean theorem to calculate indirect measurements (e.g., height or distance) when direct measurement is not possible. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (hypotenuse, base, etc.).

7.4.7 Addition/Subtraction Measurement

Allows you to add or subtract measurements. Take a measurement, then press the '+' or '-' button, take another measurement, and the device will perform the calculation.

7.5 Datalagring

The device can store up to 30 groups of historical data. Use the data storage button (often depicted as a floppy disk icon) to save measurements and review them later. The stored data can be viewed at any time, and data from different measurement points can be compared for easy analysis and review.

8. Vedligeholdelse

  • Hold enheden ren og tør. Tør af med en blød, tør klud.amp klæde. Brug ikke skrappe kemikalier eller slibende rengøringsmidler.
  • Protect the laser lens from scratches and dirt.
  • Store the device in its portable bag when not in use.
  • Undgå ekstreme temperaturer og direkte sollys.
  • Regularly charge the battery to maintain its lifespan, even if not used frequently.

9. Fejlfinding

  • Enheden tænder ikke: Ensure the battery is charged. If fully charged, try resetting by holding the power button for an extended period.
  • Upræcise målinger: Check if the measurement datum is correctly set (front or back). Ensure the target surface is reflective enough and the laser beam is not obstructed. Clean the laser lens if dirty.
  • Vist fejlkode: Refer to the device's display for specific error code prompts. Common issues include out-of-range measurements or environmental interference.
  • Laser ikke synlig: The green laser is designed to be easier to see in bright light than red lasers, but extreme sunlight can still make it difficult to see. Try shading the target area or using the device in lower light conditions.
