The Philips TAC-1279 Dash Cam is designed to provide high-definition video recording for your vehicle. It features a high-performance chip for clear video and seamless dynamic picture capture. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.

2. Opsætning og installation

2.2 Montering af dashcam'et

The dash cam features a suction cup quick-release installation. This allows for easy mounting and removal, making it convenient to move between multiple cars.

3. Press the suction cup firmly against the windshield and engage the locking mechanism to secure it.
4. Adjust the lens angle for optimal front view recording. The lens can be rotated 360 degrees for flexible positioning.

2.3 Connecting Power and Rear Camera

1. Insert a Class 10 TF memory card (up to 128GB) into the TF card slot.
2. Connect the power cord to the Type-C port on the dash cam and to your car's power source (e.g., cigarette lighter via car charger or directly to the car's electrical system via hardwire kit for parking mode).

Once the car engine is started, the recorder will automatically power on and begin recording.

3. Betjeningsvejledning

3.1 Main Interface and Indicators

The dash cam's main screen displays various icons indicating its status:

• Optagelsesstatus: A red flashing video icon indicates normal recording. A yellow flashing icon indicates emergency mode recording.
• GPS-ikon: Indicates GPS status (no icon: no GPS or not located; solid icon: GPS located).
• Wi-Fi-ikon: Indicates Wi-Fi status (off or on).
• Dual-Route Status Flag: Indicates if only the front camera is detected or if both front and rear cameras are active.

3.2 Knapfunktioner

The functions of each button vary depending on the current mode (Preview, Menu, Playback).

Mute Button (Top Left)

• Preview Mode (Recording): Short press to mute/unmute audio recording.
• Preview Mode (No Recording): Short press to enter the menu. Long press to toggle Wi-Fi on/off.
• Menutilstand: Short press for direction navigation. Long press to exit the menu.
• Afspilningstilstand: Short press to move up. Long press to exit or return.

Power Button (Top Right)

• Preview Mode (Recording): Short press to stop recording. Long press to shut down.
• Preview Mode (No Recording): Short press to start recording. Long press to shut down.
• Menutilstand: Short press to confirm. Long press to shut down.
• Afspilningstilstand: Short press to confirm. Long press to shut down.

Direction Keys (Bottom)

• Preview Mode (Recording/No Recording): Short press to switch between front and rear camera views.
• Preview Mode (No Recording): Tryk længe for at gå ind i afspilningstilstand.
• Menutilstand: Tryk for at navigere i menupunkterne.
• Afspilningstilstand: Short press to delete a file. Long press to delete permanently.

3.3 Afspilningsgrænseflade

To access recorded videos, click the "playback icon" on the main interface. By default, you will enter the video file interface for the front camera.

• Låst video: Files protected from being overwritten.
• Ordinary Video: Standard recorded video files.
• Billeder: Captured still images.

In playback mode, use the buttons to navigate, play/pause, and delete files.

3.4 Menuindstillinger

Access the settings menu by short pressing the Mute button when not recording. Settings are saved upon shutdown.

3.5 Stemmekontrol

The dash cam supports voice control for hands-free operation, enhancing driving safety and convenience. Common commands include "Take Picture" and "Open Recording."

4. Forbindelse til mobilapp

The Philips Dash Cam can be connected to a mobile application for real-time viewing, playback, and management of recorded videos.

4.1 Download af appen

4.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi and Starting the App

1. Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is turned on. By default, the dash cam's Wi-Fi is off. Long press the mute button on the dash cam to activate Wi-Fi.
2. On your mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network. The network name will typically be "SUNLINK-K05-XXXX" and the default password is "12345678".
3. Open the Philips Dash Cam app on your mobile device.
4. In the app, select the option to add a new recorder and follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your dash cam.

Note: If you need to operate the recorder directly (e.g., change settings), please turn off Wi-Fi on the dash cam by long pressing the mute button again.

4.3 App Preview Interface

The app's preview interface allows you to:

• View live video feed (front and rear).

5. Vedligeholdelse

5.1 Formatering af hukommelseskortet

To ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption, it is recommended to format the memory card at least once a month. This can be done through the dash cam's menu settings.

5.2 Rengøring

Gently wipe the camera lens and screen with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.

• Dash Cam not turning on/recording: Ensure the dash cam is properly connected to a continuous power source. This device is not rechargeable and requires constant connection to the car's power. Check the power cable and car charger for damage.
• Problemer med Wi-Fi-forbindelse: Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled by long-pressing the mute button. Verify the correct Wi-Fi network name and password.
• Dårlig videokvalitet: Check the selected recording resolution in the settings. Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions.
• Memory card errors: Format the memory card regularly (at least once a month). Ensure you are using a Class 10 TF card.
• G-sensor not triggering: Adjust the collision sensitivity in the menu settings to a higher level if needed.
