WARNING: Please do NOT plug the adapter into the car stereo to make the upgrade. Many car stereo USB ports may lose power during updates, which can cause adapter failure. Always plug the adapter into a stable power supply source like a phone charger or a computer's USB port for firmware updates.

1. Connect your iPhone to the adapter's Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi name will typically be "SmartBox-xxxx" (e.g., "SmartBox-23D1"). The default password is 12345678. If your phone cannot find the Wi-Fi, you may need to join the adapter's Wi-Fi network manually.
2. Once connected, open your iPhone's browser and enter the IP address 192.168.200.1.
