6. Opsætning

6.1. Batteriinstallation

The alloet 200EP Wire Tester Kit requires one 9V DC battery (NEDA 1604, JIS 006P, or IEC 6LR61) for operation. Batteries are not included in the package.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the rear side of the Inductive Amplifier Probe.
  2. Carefully slide open the battery cover.

7. Betjeningsvejledning

The 200EP Wire Tester Kit offers multiple testing functions for various cable and wire applications.

7.1. Tone Tracing (Cable/Wire Identification)

  1. Connect the Wire Tracker Tone Generator to the cable you wish to trace. Use the alligator clips for individual wires or the RJ11/RJ45 port for network/telephone cables.
  2. Set the function switch on the Tone Generator to 'TONE'. The generator will emit an audible tone onto the connected cable.
  3. Tænd den induktive Amplifier Probe using its power switch.
  4. Adjust the probe's sensitivity (if available) to an appropriate level.
  5. Move the insulated probe tip along the suspected cables. When the probe comes close to the cable carrying the tone signal, the speaker on the probe will emit the tone, allowing you to identify the correct cable.

7.2. Kontinuitetstest

  1. Connect the Wire Tracker Tone Generator to the two ends of the wire or cable segment you want to test for continuity using the alligator clips.
  2. Set the function switch on the Tone Generator to 'CONTINUITY'.
  3. If there is continuity (a complete circuit), the Tone Generator will indicate this, often with an LED or a specific tone.

7.3. Polaritetstestning

  1. Connect the Wire Tracker Tone Generator to the two ends of the wire or cable segment you want to test for polarity.
  2. Set the function switch on the Tone Generator to 'OFF (POLARITY)'.
  3. The POLARITY indicator on the Tone Generator will light up to show the positive or negative polarity of the connected line.

7.4. Clamp Mode test

Klamp mode allows for direct measurement of non-terminal cables. This is particularly useful for telephone and network line testing where direct access to terminals might be limited.

  1. Connect the Tone Generator to the cable using the appropriate method (e.g., alligator clips to exposed wires).
  2. Set the Tone Generator to 'TONE' mode.
  3. Use the Inductive Amplifier Probe to trace the signal along the cable, even if it's not terminated.
