3. Grundlæggende betjening

3.1. Tænd/sluk

Push the power switch (9) upwards to turn on the device. Push it downwards to turn it off.

3.2. Lock/Unlock Screen

Long press the Stop/Save/Lock/Unlock button (5) to lock the screen. Short press it to unlock.

3.3. Opladning

Use a 5V 1A power adapter that complies with national standards. The device can be fully charged in approximately 2 hours. Charging via a PC USB port may take longer. If the voice recorder is not used for an extended period, charge it every other month to maintain battery health.

Important Charging Tip:

Use a standard 5V-1A charging head or computer USB port. Do not use fast chargers exceeding 30W, as the MP3 player does not support fast charging.

3.4. Tilslutning til pc

While the device is powered on, connect it to your PC using the provided USB-C cable. The recorder will appear as a removable disk in "My Computer" (Windows) or on your desktop (Mac).

3.5. Lydstyrkekontrol

Press the Menu/Volume button (10) to access volume control. Use the Previous/Rewind/Volume+ button (11) to increase volume and the Next/Fast forward/Volume - button (12) to decrease volume.

4. Optagelse

4.1. Normal Recording

In the power-on state, press the large round Recording button (7) on the front panel to start a voice recording.

4.2. Pause Recording

During recording, press the Play/Pause/Confirm button (6) to pause. Press it again to resume.

4.3. Save Recording

Press the Stop/Save/Lock/Unlock button (5) to save the current recording.

4.4. Recording Library

Recordings are automatically named with time-stamps. The most recently saved recording will appear at the bottom of the recording library list.

• Optagemonitor: When enabled, you can listen to the audio being recorded through headphones in real-time. This helps ensure recording quality. Note: Recording Monitor and AVR Mode cannot be active simultaneously.
• AVR Mode (Voice Activated Recording): Turn on AVR Mode and press REC. The recorder will automatically start recording when sound reaches a set decibel level (a VOR icon appears) and pause when the sound falls below that level. There are 7 sensitivity levels. Higher sensitivity means the device can capture lower decibel sounds.

  Do not use AVR Mode for critical recordings like important lectures or meetings, as it may skip or lose important phrases at low decibel levels.
• Segmentoptagelse: The device can automatically segment recordings into files of 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes, saving each segment independently. This aids in managing large recording files.

5. Playback (Music & Recordings)

5.1. Mappehåndtering

You can browse all saved folders on the device. Folders are displayed chronologically, with the oldest at the top and the newest at the bottom.

5.2. Musikafspilning

The Music menu includes options for All Songs, Artists, Albums, Genres, Playlists, and Refresh Playlists. Music files are sorted by ASCII encoding rules, and the device extracts ID3 tags to categorize them.

The device has 3 default playlists that cannot be renamed or deleted. New playlists cannot be created.

5.5. AB Gentag

A-B Repeat allows you to loop a specific section of an audio track. 'A' marks the start, and 'B' marks the end of the loop.

1. While playing music or a recording, press the Menu button (10), then select 'Repeat settings' and 'Repeat mode'.
2. The device will return to the playback interface. "A-B" will appear at the bottom of the screen, with 'A' flashing.
3. Press the Volume - button (12) to set the start point (A) of the repeated section. 'B' will then flash.
4. Press the Volume - button (12) again to set the end point (B) of the repeated section. The device will now repeat the A-B segment.
5. To exit A-B Repeat, press the Play button (6).

5.6. Replay Times

You can set the A-B Repeat to play 1 to 10 times.

5.7. Replay Interval

Set an interval of 1 to 10 seconds between repeats. For example, a 1-second interval means the A-B segment will replay 1 second after finishing.

5.8. Lydindstillinger

• Equalizer: Options include Off, Rock, Funk, Hip hop, Jazz, Classical, Techno.
• Afspilning med variabel hastighed: Adjust playback speed from -8 to 8.

5.9. Bookmarks

Add up to 10 bookmarks within a file to quickly return to specific points. This is useful for long recordings or audiobooks.

Configure screensaver, brightness, and backlight timer. If both screensaver and backlight timer are set, the screensaver activates when the backlight timer expires. If only the backlight timer is set, the screen will turn off when the timer expires.

The password is off by default. The default password is 0000.

To set the password, use the following button definitions:

• Increase Numbers: Use Volume+ (11) to increase digits from 0-9.

• Hukommelseshåndtering: Be aware that the operating system and pre-installed applications will use a portion of the internal 64GB memory, so the actual usable storage will be slightly less.
• External Microphone Clarification: While the device supports 'Line-in Recording' for external audio sources, it does not support direct external microphones. If you intend to record from an external microphone, ensure it is connected via a line-in cable to a compatible audio source, not directly to the recorder's microphone jack.

10. Fejlfinding

10.1. Ekstern mikrofon virker ikke

Spørgsmål: The device menu mentions 'online recording' or 'line-in recording', but an external microphone does not seem to work when plugged in.

Løsning: The MECHEN V02 Digital Voice Recorder does not support direct external microphones. The 'Line-in Recording' function is designed for connecting to other audio output devices (like smartphones, MP3 players, etc.) to record their audio output, not for connecting a standalone external microphone. If you need to record from an external microphone, ensure it is connected to an intermediate device that can output audio via a line-out, which can then be connected to the recorder's line-in port.
