4. Opsætning og montering

The ThinkRider pump comes pre-assembled. The primary setup involves selecting and converting the gas nozzle type to match your bicycle's valve.

4.1 Nozzle Conversion (US/French Universal Nozzle)

The pump features a universal nozzle compatible with both US (Schrader) and French (Presta) valves. Conversion is quick and easy:

  • For US (Schrader) Nozzle: Turn the nozzle head clockwise to tighten it onto the valve.
  • For French (Presta) Nozzle: Rotate the nozzle head counterclockwise to pull it out, exposing the Presta fitting.

4.2 Attaching the Pump to the Valve

  1. Ensure the correct nozzle type is selected for your valve.
  2. Carefully thread the pump's nozzle onto your bicycle's valve stem until it is securely attached. Do not overtighten.
  3. The extended hose allows for flexible positioning of the pump during inflation.

5. Betjening

5.1 Inflating Your Bicycle Components

  1. Attach the pump securely to the valve as described in Section 4.2.
  2. Begin pumping by moving the handle up and down. The smooth pull rod design ensures effort-saving and quick pumping.
  3. Monitor the pressure gauge to reach your desired PSI. The gauge displays pressure in both PSI and Bar.
  4. Once the desired pressure is reached, carefully detach the pump from the valve.

5.2 Using the Bleed Valve

The integrated button-type bleed valve allows for precise pressure adjustments:

  • If you have over-inflated, gently press the red button-type bleed valve located near the pressure gauge.
  • Pressing the button will release small amounts of air, allowing you to fine-tune the pressure to the exact desired level.
  • Continuously monitor the pressure gauge while using the bleed valve.

6. Vedligeholdelse

  • Rensning: Wipe the pump body with a clean, damp klud efter brug. Undgå at bruge skrappe kemikalier eller slibende rengøringsmidler.
  • Opbevaring: Store the pump in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the integrated hose clip for compact storage.
  • Smøring: Periodically apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the pump's O-rings and moving parts to ensure smooth operation and prevent wear.
  • Inspektion: Regularly check the hose and nozzle for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Replace if necessary.

7. Fejlfinding

Tabel 2: Almindelige problemer og løsninger
Problem Mulig årsag Løsning
Pump not inflating / losing air Loose connection to valve; incorrect nozzle setting; worn O-rings. Ensure nozzle is tightly secured to valve. Verify correct US/French nozzle setting. Inspect and lubricate/replace O-rings if necessary.
Pressure gauge not reading Valve not fully open; pump not properly sealed to valve. Ensure valve core is open (for Presta, unscrew tip). Re-attach pump nozzle firmly to create a tight seal.
Vanskeligheder med at pumpe Manglende smøring; indvendigt snavs. Lubricate the pump shaft and internal seals. Clean any visible debris.

8. Brugertips

  • Presta Valve Usage: When using with Presta valves, always unscrew the valve tip before attaching the pump, and screw it back after inflation to seal.
  • Slow Bleed: For very precise adjustments, press the bleed valve in short, controlled bursts rather than holding it down.
  • Kontroller trykket regelmæssigt: For optimal performance and safety, check the pressure of your forks, shocks, and tires regularly, especially before rides.
  • Portabilitet: The compact size and hose clip make this pump easy to carry in a backpack or attach to your bike frame for on-the-go adjustments.
