1. Introduktion
The Aideepen KWS-AC301 and KWS-AC301L are advanced AC power meters designed for monitoring various electrical parameters. These devices feature a full-view color screen for clear observation and a dedicated metering chip for accurate and fast data calculation. They are built with PVC flame retardant material and an all-round buckle design for stable and safe installation.
The meter offers 8 major functions:
- Nuværende måling
- Timing (elapsed time)
- Electrical energy (kWh)
- Voltage måling
- Power measurement (Watts)
- Temperaturvisning
- Effektfaktor
- Frekvensmåling
The KWS-AC301L model additionally includes an RS485 communication interface for PC software connectivity, allowing for enhanced data logging and analysis.

2. Opsætning og installation
2.1 Dimensioner og montering
The KWS-AC301 series meters have external dimensions of 7.35 x 4.45 x 2.00 cm (Length x Width x Height). The recommended hole size for panel mounting is 73.5 x 44.5 x 20 mm, with a panel size of 76.5 x 48 x 23.5 mm.

2.2 Ledningsdiagrammer
Proper wiring is crucial for the safe and accurate operation of the power meter. Refer to the specific diagram for your model (20A or 100A, with or without RS485).
2.2.1 KWS-AC301-20A Wiring (Built-in Shunt)
For the 20A version without RS485, the current shunt is built-in. Connect the input AC voltage (50-300V) to terminals 3 (N) and 4 (L). The load is connected to terminals 1 (N) and 2 (L).

2.2.2 KWS-AC301L-20A Wiring (Built-in Shunt with RS485)
Similar to the KWS-AC301-20A, this model has a built-in shunt. Additionally, connect the RS485 communication interface (A+ and B-) and the temperature sensor interface as shown.

2.2.3 KWS-AC301-100A Wiring (External Transformer)
For the 100A version without RS485, an external current transformer (CT) is required. Connect the input AC voltage (50-300V) to terminals 3 (N) and 4 (L). The load is connected to terminals 1 (N) and 2 (L). The external CT is connected in series with the load line and to the meter's CT input terminals.

2.2.4 KWS-AC301L-100A Wiring (External Transformer with RS485)
This model requires an external CT and includes RS485 communication. Connect the input AC voltage (50-300V) to terminals 3 (N) and 4 (L). The load is connected to terminals 1 (N) and 2 (L). The external CT is connected in series with the load line and to the meter's CT input terminals. Additionally, connect the RS485 communication interface (A+ and B-) and the temperature sensor interface as shown.

2.3 Current Transformer Types
The 20A models use a built-in shunt. The 100A models use an external current transformer. There are two types of external transformers:
- Open/Closing Transformer: Offers high precision and is easy to disassemble for installation.
- Closed-type Transformer: Typically requires the wire to be threaded through the center, offering good performance but might be less convenient for existing installations.

3. Betjeningsvejledning
The meter features three buttons: an Up button (triangle), a Down button (inverted triangle), and an M (Menu/Mode) button.

- Indtastning af indstillinger: Tryk og hold på M key for three seconds to enter the settings menu.
- Navigeringsindstillinger:
- Dobbeltklik på M key to cycle through (wrap) different setting parameters.
- Klik på M key once to shift the cursor or select an option within a parameter.
- Alarm Prompt Setting:
- When a value is set, press the M key for 3 seconds to save it.
- The alarm will activate if the actual measured value is greater than or equal to the set alarm value.
- When an alarm occurs, the instrument will emit a sound, and the numerical unit on the screen will flash. For example, if the current alarm is set to 1.000A, an alarm will trigger if the actual current exceeds 1.000A.
- To disable an alarm, set its alarm value higher than any expected actual value, or set all alarm values to 0.
- Fabriksindstillingen voltage alarm value is 275V; other alarm values are set to 0 by default.
- Energy and Timing Reset:
- Tryk og hold på Up (triangle) button for 3 seconds. The timing display will flash.
- Klik på M button to clear the timing.
- Dobbeltklik på M button to switch to the electrical energy display.
- Klik på M button to clear the electrical energy.
- Gendannelse af fabriksindstillinger: Tryk og hold på Down (inverted triangle) key, then power on the meter. Release the button when you hear a sound from the meter, indicating a successful restoration.
3.1 Displayelementer
The display shows the following parameters:
- Voltage (V)
- Nuværende (A)
- Timing (T)
- Electrical Energy (kWh)
- Effekt (W)
- Kraftfaktor (PF)
- Frekvens (Hz)
- Temperatur (°C)
4. Vedligeholdelse
To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your KWS-AC301 power meter, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Rensning: Brug en blød, tør klud til at rengøre displayet ogasing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the plastic or screen.
- Miljø: Operate the meter within the specified operating temperature range of 0-40°C. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Forbindelser: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Loose connections can lead to inaccurate readings or safety hazards.
- Opbevaring: If storing the device for an extended period, ensure it is kept in a dry, dust-free environment.
5. Fejlfinding
- Ingen visning: Sørg for, at strømforsyningen er tilsluttet korrekt og inden for den specificerede voltage range (AC 50-300V). Check for loose wiring.
- Upræcise læsninger: Verify that the current transformer (for 100A models) is correctly installed and the wiring is secure. Ensure the meter is operating within its specified parameters.
- Alarm Triggered Unexpectedly: Check the alarm settings (refer to section 3, point 3). If the alarm value is set too low, it may trigger prematurely. Adjust the alarm value or disable it if not needed.
- No Data on PC Software (KWS-AC301L): Ensure the RS485 communication cable is securely connected to both the meter and the PC. Verify that the PC software is correctly installed and configured for the correct COM port.
- Meter Emits Sound Continuously: This indicates an active alarm. Check the display for flashing numerical units to identify the parameter causing the alarm.
