5. Opsætning og installation

The tectake Double Side Awning offers versatile mounting options. The installation process involves securing the main housing and the two support posts to a stable surface.

5.1 Valg af placering

Select a flat, stable surface for installation. The awning can be installed in a straight line or at an angle, depending on your space and privacy needs. Ensure there is sufficient clearance for the awning to extend fully.

5.2 Mounting the Main Housing

1. Position the main housing unit against a sturdy wall or vertical surface.
2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the housing's base and side.
3. Drill holes using an appropriate drill bit for your wall material.
4. Insert wall anchors (if necessary) and secure the housing firmly using the provided screws.

5.3 Installing the Support Posts

1. Determine the desired extension length for each side of the awning.
2. Place each support post at the end of the desired extension path. The posts should be positioned to allow the awning fabric to be taut when extended.
3. Mark the drilling points for the base plate of each support post on the ground.
4. Drill holes and secure the support posts to the ground using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure the posts are vertical and stable.

6. Betjeningsvejledning

The tectake Double Side Awning features an automatic roll-up mechanism for easy extension and retraction.

6.1 Udvidelse af markisen

1. Grasp the ergonomic handle located on the end of the awning fabric.
2. Gently pull the fabric horizontally outwards from the main housing.
3. Guide the handle towards the corresponding slot on the support post.
4. Insert the handle into the slot and secure it firmly. The fabric should be taut.

6.2 Indtrækning af markisen

1. Release the handle from the support post.
2. Slowly guide the fabric back towards the main housing. The automatic roll-up mechanism will retract the fabric smoothly.
3. Ensure the fabric retracts evenly and without obstruction into the housing.

7. Vedligeholdelse

Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your tectake Double Side Awning.

• Rengøring af stoffet: The polyester fabric with coating is water-repellent and tear-resistant. Clean with a soft brush or cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely before retracting. Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or abrasive materials.
• Rengøring af rammen: Wipe the powder-coated steel and aluminum frame with a damp klud. Tør grundigt for at forhindre rust.
• Inspektion: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they are tight. Inspect the fabric for any tears, fraying, or signs of wear.
• Vejrbeskyttelse: Always retract the awning during adverse weather conditions (strong winds, heavy rain, snow) to protect it from damage.

8. Fejlfinding

• Awning does not retract smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the housing or along the fabric path. Ensure the fabric is clean and free of debris.
• Awning fabric sags: Verify that the support posts are securely anchored and that the fabric is properly engaged with the posts when extended. The tension mechanism should keep the fabric taut.
• Awning feels unstable: Re-check all mounting points for the main housing and support posts. Ensure all screws are tightened and that the installation surface is solid.
• Vanskeligheder med at forlænge/trække sig tilbage: Ensure the handle is clean and moves freely. Do not force the mechanism.
