1. Introduktion

Thank you for choosing the Generic 40KW Stainless Steel Swimming Pool Heat Exchanger. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new heat exchanger. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use, and retain it for future reference.

This heat exchanger is designed to efficiently transfer heat from a primary heat source (such as a boiler or solar panels) to your swimming pool, spa, or hot tub water, maintaining a constant desired temperature.

• The maximum operating temperature for this unit is 230℉ (110℃). Do not exceed this temperature.

• Chlorinators must feed downstream of the heat exchanger. This prevents highly concentrated chlorinated water from entering the heat exchanger, which can cause rapid corrosion.
• Maintain proper water chemistry. A pH level between 7.2 and 7.8 and a free chlorine residual at 1.0 to 3.0 ppm are recommended. Water chemistry is not covered under the warranty.

4. Opsætning og installation

4.2 Monteringsvejledning:

The heat exchanger comes with stainless steel fixed brackets for easy installation. Choose a suitable location that is easily accessible for maintenance and close to both the primary heat source and the pool's circulation system.

1. Securely attach the mounting brackets to a stable, vertical surface using appropriate fasteners (not included).
2. Place the heat exchanger into the brackets and secure it with the provided clamps. Ensure the unit is level.

4.3 VVS-tilslutninger:

Connect the heat exchanger to your primary heat source and pool circulation system using appropriate plumbing. Ensure all connections are watertight and sealed properly.

• Side Thread: Female Thread 45mm/1.77in (for primary heat source connection).
• Front and Rear Thread: Female Thread 32mm/1.26in (for pool water circulation).

It is recommended to install isolation valves on both the primary and secondary loops to facilitate future maintenance.

5. Betjeningsvejledning

5.1 Principle of Operation:

The heat exchanger operates by circulating water from your primary heat source (e.g., boiler, solar panels) through one set of coils, while pool water circulates through another set. Heat is transferred from the hotter primary loop to the cooler pool water without direct mixing of the two water streams.

5.2 Achieving Constant Temperature:

Once installed and connected to a heat source, the system will continuously circulate pool water through the heat exchanger. The heat energy from the primary source will warm the pool water, maintaining a constant temperature as set by your pool's control system or the primary heat source's thermostat.

5.3 Solar Panel Integration:

This heat exchanger is suitable for simultaneous use with solar panels (solar panels are not included with this product). Connect the solar panel's heated water output to the primary loop of the heat exchanger for an energy-efficient heating solution.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heat exchanger.

• Årlig inspektion: Inspect all connections for leaks and ensure mounting hardware is secure.
• Rensning: Periodically check for any debris or scale buildup within the heat exchanger. If necessary, consult a professional for cleaning procedures.
• Vandkemi: Maintain proper pool water chemistry (pH 7.2-7.8, free chlorine 1.0-3.0 ppm) to prevent corrosion and scale formation. Improper water chemistry can damage the unit and void the warranty.
• Vinterisering: In colder climates, ensure the heat exchanger is drained completely to prevent freezing damage during winter months.

7. Fejlfinding

If you experience issues with your heat exchanger, consider the following common problems and solutions:

• No Heat Transfer:
  - Ensure the primary heat source is operational and supplying hot water.
  - Check for proper water flow in both the primary and secondary (pool) loops.
  - Verify that all valves are open.
• Low Heat Transfer:
  - Check for blockages or debris in either loop.
  - Ensure the primary heat source is adequately sized for your pool volume.
  - Verify correct water chemistry to prevent scale buildup.
• Lækager:
  - Inspect all plumbing connections for tightness. Tighten or re-seal as necessary.
  - If a leak is detected from the unit itself, contact customer support.
