4.1. Power On and Warm-up

  1. Ensure the air port is clear.
  2. Turn on the device. The backlight and display screen will illuminate, showing all content, accompanied by a "Drop" sound from the buzzer. The blue indicator light will remain on.
  3. The LCD will display "warm up" and a 10-second countdown. After the countdown, the buzzer will sound, indicating readiness for testing.

Note: If the tester has not been used for an extended period, the sensor surface may oxidize. It is recommended to preheat the device several times before the first use or after long periods of inactivity to ensure accurate results.

4.2. Udførelse af en test

  1. After the warm-up, the display will show "blow" and a 10-second countdown. The buzzer will sound after the countdown, prompting the result display.
  2. During the 10-second countdown, exhale steadily into the device's air intake for approximately 5 seconds. The device will detect alcohol-containing gas and update the countdown to a 4-second blowing countdown.
  3. Maintain a continuous breath flow (approximately 10L/min) for the duration of the blowing countdown.

4.3. Understanding Test Results

Test results are displayed in %BAC and g/L units on the digital screen. The device also uses a tricolor indicator lamp to provide a quick visual interpretation of the results.

  • Grønt lys: When the detection result is less than 0.02% BAC (or 0.2 g/L), the green light remains on, and no buzzer sound is emitted. This indicates a non-drinking state.
  • Gult lys: When the detection result is between 0.02% BAC (or 0.2 g/L) and less than 0.08% BAC (or 0.8 g/L), the yellow light remains on, and the buzzer emits a slow, continuous sound. This indicates a drinking state, caution is advised.
  • Rødt lys: When the detection result is greater than or equal to 0.08% BAC (or 0.8 g/L), the red light remains on, the display screen flashes "danger", and the buzzer emits a rapid, continuous sound. This indicates a drunken state, and driving is strictly prohibited.

5. Vedligeholdelse

  • Rensning: Regularly wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Ensure the sensor area is free from dust and debris.
  • Opbevaring: Opbevar enheden et køligt, tørt sted, væk fra direkte sollys og ekstreme temperaturer.
  • Batteripleje: For at forlænge batteriets levetid bør du undgå at aflade enheden helt ofte. Oplad den regelmæssigt, selvom den ikke er i konstant brug.

6. Fejlfinding

  • Enheden tænder ikke: Ensure the device is fully charged. If the issue persists, try charging with a different USB cable or power source.
  • Unøjagtige aflæsninger: Ensure the device has completed its warm-up cycle. Avoid testing immediately after consuming alcohol, smoking, or using mouthwash, as this can affect accuracy. Allow at least 20 minutes after consumption before testing. Ensure a continuous and sufficient breath sample leveres.
  • "Warm up" message persists: If the device repeatedly shows "warm up" or takes an unusually long time, it might indicate the sensor needs to be preheated multiple times, especially after long periods of non-use.
  • No display or partial display: Check battery level. If fully charged and issue persists, contact customer support.
