5. Opsætning og installation
5.1 Strømforsyningsmuligheder
The device offers three methods for power supply:
- PoE (Power over Ethernet): Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE-enabled switch or injector to the RJ45 Ethernet port. The device supports IEEE 802.3af standard.
- DC strømport: Connect a DC power adapter (6~36V) to the DC power jack.
- Skrueterminal: Connect a DC power source (6~36V) to the screw terminal block. Ensure correct polarity (VCC and GND).

5.2 Rail-Mount Installation
The converter is designed for easy installation on a DIN rail. Locate the rail-mount buckle on the device and securely attach it to a standard DIN rail in your industrial setup.

6. Betjeningsvejledning
6.1 Konfigurationsmetoder
The device can be configured using multiple methods:
- Værtssoftware: Use the dedicated configuration software provided by waveshare to set up network parameters, serial parameters, and operating modes.

6.2 Kommunikationstilstande
The converter supports various communication modes to suit different network topologies and application requirements:
- TCP-server: The device acts as a TCP server, listening for incoming connections from TCP clients. It supports up to 30 TCP connections simultaneously.
- TCP-klient: The device initiates a TCP connection to a specified TCP server. It can coexist with TCP server mode.
- UDP: The device sends and receives UDP packets. This mode is suitable for multi-network device communication.
- UDP Multicast: Supports sending data to a group of devices simultaneously.

6.3 Modbus Gateway Functionality
The device functions as a Modbus Gateway, enabling seamless integration of Modbus RTU/ASCII devices into Modbus TCP networks. It is suitable for Modbus networking upgrades and can be configured using specific software.
6.4 MQTT/JSON to Modbus Conversion
For enhanced flexibility, the converter supports MQTT/JSON to Modbus conversion. This allows data from cloud platforms (e.g., Baidu Cloud MQTT, Alibaba Cloud MQTT) or JSON formatted data to be parsed and converted into Modbus packets for uploading or integration with Modbus devices.
6.5 Multi Hosts Roll-Polling
This feature allows the device to identify and respond to different network devices respectively, preventing crosstalk issues when communicating with multiple network devices.
6.6 User-Defined Heartbeat/Registration Packet
Configure custom heartbeat and registration packets for easy cloud communication and device identification on the network.
6.7 NTP Protocol Support
The device supports NTP (Network Time Protocol) for obtaining accurate network time information, which can be useful for data logging and synchronization.
7. Vedligeholdelse og fejlfinding
