2. Opsætning og montering
Your Mountfield MTF 84M riding mower requires some assembly before its first use. Follow these steps carefully.
2.1. Udpakning
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present. Keep packaging materials until assembly is complete.
2.2. Ratmontering
- Mount the steering wheel onto the shaft protruding from the dashboard.
- Secure the steering wheel using the provided pin.
2.3. Batteritilslutning
Important: Connect the battery before initial use for electric starting.
- Locate the battery compartment, typically under the seat or hood.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal (red cable) and then the negative (-) terminal (black cable) to the battery posts.
- Ensure connections are tight.
2.4. Sæde installation
- Adjust the seat by sliding it along the slots to your desired position.
- Once the correct position is found, tighten the four screws to secure the seat.

Important: The grass collector must be correctly installed for the mower to operate due to a safety interlock switch.

3.1. Kontroller overview
- Tændingsnøgle: Starter og stopper motoren.

3.2. Start af motoren

- Placer transmissionen i neutral.
- Engage the choke (for cold starts).
- Insert the ignition key and turn it to the 'ON' position.
- Tryk på bremsepedalen.

- Aktiver knive: Once the engine is running and you are ready to mow, engage the cutting blades using the blade engagement lever.
- Vælg gear: Use the manual transmission to select a forward speed. The mower has 5 forward and 1 reverse gear.
- Mow: Drive the mower at a consistent speed, overlapping each pass slightly to ensure an even cut.

- Mulching: A mulching plug is included, allowing you to recycle grass clippings back into the lawn as natural fertilizer.
