Mode Switch (CAT7/CAT5): The tool features a switch to adjust the crimping pressure for different cable types. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, then slide the switch up for CAT7 shielded connectors or down for CAT5/5e/6 standard connectors. Re-tighten the screw after adjustment.

5. Betjeningsvejledning
The Yankok HT718 tool combines three essential functions: cutting, stripping, and crimping.

5.1. Cutting the Cable
- Open the crimping tool handles.
- Insert the cable into the designated cutting slot (usually the blade closest to the pivot point).
- Squeeze the handles firmly until the cable is cleanly cut.
5.2. Stripping the Cable
- Open the crimping tool handles.
- Carefully insert the cable into the stripping slot. Ensure the cable is positioned correctly to strip only the outer jacket without damaging the inner wires.
- Gently squeeze the handles and rotate the tool around the cable (or pull the cable through the stripper) to remove the outer insulation.
- Remove the stripped insulation to expose the twisted pairs.
5.3. Crimping the Connector
This tool supports both standard and pass-through RJ connectors.

- Forbered ledningerne: Untwist the exposed wire pairs and arrange them according to the desired wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Trim the wires evenly to the appropriate length for your connector.
- Indsæt ledninger i stikket: Carefully push the arranged wires into the RJ connector until they reach the end and the outer jacket is seated inside the connector. For pass-through connectors, ensure the wires extend slightly beyond the front of the connector.
- Place Connector in Tool: Insert the prepared connector into the appropriate crimping die on the tool (8P for RJ45, 6P for RJ11/RJ12). Ensure the connector is fully seated.
- Krympe: Squeeze the handles of the tool firmly and completely until you feel a click or the handles meet. This action pushes the connector pins into the wires and, for pass-through connectors, trims the excess wire.
- For Shielded Connectors: If using shielded connectors, ensure the metal wing clamps are properly crimped to secure the shield. The HT718 is designed to crimp these metal clamps.

5.4. Wiring Connection Guide (T568A & T568B)
Proper wire arrangement is crucial for network performance. The two common standards are T568A and T568B.

6. Vedligeholdelse
